The bars are a lie. There is no bar.

Here's to a good first round everybody, given we're kicking off tomorrow. Not the most ground we've ever made in the pre-draft period, but the top ten is more or less in the books, and that's important.

        HIGHLIGHTS

        - A number of good safeties. However, a guy who at least makes the Top 3 at the position is selected as the 6th safety, at 1.23 - Alan Duerr - to Yuma.

        - An run on the second tier of QBs and WRs. Seems everyone thought a steep drop-off existed after the #1 and #2 overalls, but two of each have since gone in the 20's.

        - On the above note, my heart cried out, "Jughead! Noooooo!" Intervention for Jughead Gruden tonight at 7.

-The two premier LBs of the draft went off the board at 19 and 20. Conrad Atkins, dogged by character concerns, went to Memphis, and San Fran will welcome their new defense with Ty Elam.

-Lake County did not consider it sufficient to pilfer away Utah's nose tackle Bennie Siragusa, they also drafted away our DT target of the draft in Ian Howard, at 1.15. ಠ_ಠ

The first step on the path to healing is admitting you have a problem, Jughead.

Would have liked any of the WR's that went late round 1 to fall to me... but that's alright. Like the C we got. DeJesus should have no excuses in another 5, 6 years.

                    The Early Utah Draft

With two first rounders from 2025, the Bees are having a quiet 2026 draft so far.

2.6 - TE Edwin Blades, a complementary, developmental player - but the headliner and most solid piece of this class. We're counting on Blades to be weapons grade down the line.

2.16 - LT Max Reese, oof, I don't know about this one. He better hold. I don't expect he will. This could be one I would like to have back in the end. We passed up surer things to try and get a coup with our 2nd bookend tackle for the long term. I'm not sure we have that, and we invested a pretty high pick here.

4.9 - OLB Ike Arias. As we like to do in the mid and later rounds, we swung for the fences on this one. Our LB corps is a solid 8-deep right now, but Arias, we feel, has some mega potential. Worth a gander and we'll figure out the numbers situation, if it arises, later on.

We have five selections remaining in the draft, and want to use up 3-4 of them, hopefully. A few more ganders like the above.

7.1 is on the clock, and we're ticking down the final round of the 2026 draft! Enough owners are using priority lists, which is great, and we're likely to fly through the round.

Prop-a-doodles to Brad for another well-run OSFL offseason!
