  • Dakota - GROWING THE TOTEM POLE

The Totems have stumbled a little coming out the gates, but so far, things look promising.

Johnathon McBriar has exceeded expectations in his first four games, and we finally seem to have a passing attack despite not having a load of talent on our offense. Bernie Jones continues to overperform and keep rookie Artie "Reverend" Lovejoy on the bench, but an injury to Andre Peterson might mean we have to curb our passing a little. Able longtime backup Billy Wilkins will take over until Peterson can return.

The defense took a step back against Boston, but CB Chris Hutchins is in the running for DROY and the young front 7 has been impressive and will keep improving. A.J. Hassett hasn't been getting sacks, but he has been bringing pressure. Hard to blame them for getting smoked by Max Montano, the best running back in the league.

The injuries have begun to mount, but they aren't ones the Totems can't overcome - especially if McBriar keeps performing at a high level.

I do a decent job with headlines! Sorry this got posted in here instead of OSFL News - The Totem pole grew so much and so fast that it ended up in a different forum.
