2025 FA 2.3,4,5 SIM Complete - Next SIM SUNDAY 08/05 = TRAINING CAMP
TRAINING CAMP! also, SUMMER LEAGUE results are in! (looks like +6/+0 for S Bynaker).
Glad we got the holdout with Melnick sorted out. He's earned the right to get paid after four very sack-filled seasons in Utah - 42.5 total, even with starting just 6 games in his first year.
We'll be having to part ways with some UDFAs and other fodder to make room for our remaining rookies. It won't be a tough cutdown to 70 - there are three easy UDFA cuts already, which means two more and we're set. Our first rounders both rejected the team's opening offers, which means it's Option Last for everybody except 4.32 TE Wheeler, the first to sign.
NO MORE 1-minute STs mumbo jumbo in camp this year! We want to return our kicks, without them getting called back.
Vegas QB Luke Dimcheff comes back limping with a leg injury that will keep him out for most of the preseason. Chicago's Ed Winslett will be nursing his elbow well into the regular season.
One of the more high profile players returning from Europe ought to be Greg Pinson, who comes back looking like he could be ready to take over a Kalispel team that was rumored to be in trade talks for journeyman starter Mel Beisel, and turned that idea down to roll with their 2nd rounder.
A few of the biggest improvements were made by Dakota DE A.J. Hassett (+8) and Los Alamos tackle James Erickson (+8), both first rounders who look ready to take on the world.
Motor City's 1.15 guard from 2024, Nate Madison, was already fairly extraordinary before coming back 61/76 (+7).
All eyes will be on Portland's Ted Pleasant, the top-10 draft pick whose +6 (43/56) will figure prominently in Portland's '25 campaign. The pressure will really be on for the whiz kid to win some games, or the Phantoms will have to start searching for other playmakers to build around.
Nobody transformed as dramaticaly as Doug Shedleski, the 1.2 whose forgettable rookie season in Pearl Harbor hasn't stopped him from putting together a highly productive summer (+11!).
And one last shoutout: to Port City's 3.1 DE Carlos Hutchins, who returns 57/60 (+7) and looks like one of the most fantastic DE steals in recent memory right now.
Mike, you signed everybody this past stage *except* OLB Randall Ellis, DT J.T. Storz, and RB B.J. "Butterfingers" Wayne.
They all signed with Yuma for big money, which has to be considered an honor!

I've been doing the 1 minute thing since I joined MP leagues and always end up low in ST, so I'm following your lead here. If it's good enough for the champs to pay attention to then it's good enough for N.O
New Orleans Stingrays GM 2024-2029 Regular Season: 45-49-2 Playoffs: 1-4 AC South Champions: 2024, 2027, 2029 Wildcard: 2026
I figured I would rather dump a fuck ton of money on these guys for one year each than see them all go elsewhere. I think they all have a place here in Yuma, at least for a year.

Uh oh, that's a lot of responsibility! My understanding of less time in ST = more ST penalties comes entirely from one off the cuff remark Jughead made. So just remember, if it all goes down in flames, he's the man to blame

I've been through most of the season in FOFL with little to no special teams time, and I haven't noticed many penalties at all. Might just be good dice rolls though...
