The entire UDFA thing is so ridiculous.

"Hey kid...you didn't get drafted. But on the bright side you're going to get $5m a year, or more than a 1st round draft pick! Congrats!"

There's no other way to do it. You can't argue to the player, "Hey, this is a good situation we have here in Team _____." You can't pick up the phone faster than another team. You can't have a minimally low cap and say, "The rookie will decide randomly between all the teams that want him" (Well, you could, but that's not an improvement for the GM player experience).

It is the exact same thing in regular FA for players. You can't press a button that says "Roll out a red carpet and make a persuasive argument to this FA player we really like."

Literally the only way one GM can express "I want this player MORE" than another GM, is to offer more play money. Is there really a better way for doing that?

          only temporarily, I'm sure

Bobby Kittner looks like my only other good UDFA signing so far. I"m actually surprised that he even looks good.

We signed our rookie TE Derek Wheeler, and he has a -1 cut test, so so much for another team seeing him as 20/53. I guess he's going to come down to earth. I just hope it'll be a soft landing. Looks like he's dropping in ST, though. 35/55? Yuck, not sure how he even makes the team with that.

If you've got the cap, spend it.

The problem is that the financial aspect of the game is too hard to simulate. If we offered an UDFA 5 mil in real life, we'd get fired. In the game, it's not real money, so we can spend as we please with no consequence

My picks look pretty good via the cut test. Lovejoy bumps 2. Gaylor bumps. Maiher bumps. A few stay the same. My 3rd round TE looks busty though, he stayed the same. Troglia drops a little, but he should still be a solid CB.

It's a cruel world full of ups and downs for undrafted free agents in OSFL. Mostly downs.

Probably higher BPR than my WR conversions. They're both droppers too.
