  • Upload procedure and what do we need to do questions

    1) I adjusted the depth chart (made my nose tackle a Fridge short yardage back --jk)
    2) adjusted the game plan
    3) put in offers for free agents
    4) made 7 players inactive
    5) tried to save using export stage file (is this correct?)

sure hope depth charts are saved automatically (how do you do it?)

    6) read 5 warnings or so on the AI needs to fix something/ is that okay before the saving happened (sure hope the AI doesn't screw it up)

    7) tried the upload file ( I can't use my password --- use the upload password in the contacts section *********
Any screw ups in 1-7 ?

    more questions:
1 sounds good. 2 sounds good. 3 also sounds good, however, signing guys can mess up your depth charts depending upon what position you are trying to sign and how many of the players you have. That is a big part of the reason to have "mid week" exports. 4 is good if you only have 53 guys on your roster, but once you get more, you'll need more inactive guys so that the active total is always 46. 5. Hitting export stage file "saves" all of your changes to a file which can be sent to the commish if you are done everything you need to do. 6 is worrisome - depends upon what the warnings were. Without knowing what they are, I can't tell you how worried you should be, but I don't trust the AI to resolve some of those things for me and I prefer to do it myself. Everything else looks good.

thanks---btw I think the warnings were about 46 players needing to be active -- and then I would deactivate the 3rd QB and it would say " you need a 3rd qb active " and then I would reactivate the Qb and deactivate the next worst player and then it said " you need 6 linebackers active" and then I gave up and let the AI finish....

Just to ensure ---- exporting the stage saves everything locally on my computer also ? or does it just " snapshot" everything for export --- I haven't exited the program yet 'cause I made a lot of changes...

As long as you haven't changed the global option to "save game plan and depth chart progress on export" then your changes should be saved to the depth chart and gameplan should be saved once you hit that button.
