He was #1 on my list but went with a S instead a few picks back. If it turns out badly for me it will be another lesson learned.

Clay, you seriously bummed me out with that pick. I was really hoping to land him at 4.2. He's VU, for sure. It's not a huge flier. In a talent-empty middle part of the draft, what else are you going to get with a late 3rd rounder?
Great upside.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

4.2
The Bees recover from the loss of a VU cornerback and send next-man-up Chester Haddix's name to the podium. We have had good luck drafting guys named Chester. The last time we did it he turned into a starting safety.
In Haddix, we are hoping for some solid receiving abilities to go along with kick return skills. Our KR job is wide open, and he'll compete with Brock Rosalez. The better KR probably wins that roster spot, although as long as Haddix shows quality receiving skills, he could potentially bump somebody else off.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

A day of being stranded in various airports for hours at a time...it's a good thing they all had free wifi. Maybe I just haven't flown in a while, but this seems different (and new). And nice!
We've been busy bees today, here's the rundown:
4.32 - TE Derek Wheeler - We weren't satisfied too much with any of the veteran TE3/ST options we pursued in free agency. Not that it was an important spot to fill, but we had to jump at the chance to get a rookie who could do it. Wheeler has 24 sole, 1 intel. With that agility score, we're hoping those are some receiving masked pairs - GD/END, RR/ST, and furthermore, they're of the variety where both sets of bars climb. If Wheeler's ST rockets, he'll be an ace.
5.8 - DE Phillip Parrish - Sat in Washington Dulles and found this cat while going through draft analyzer. Apparently I had him highlighted previously...I liked the unexpectedly high PH bar here (given his bench). Solid, not super combines all-around. I think he's at least As Scouted, with the potential to climb. Low sole, and he's dumb as hell. The best news is that marvelous gave him his stamp of approval from Denver, and that guy knows how to draft his DL. We traded back in just to nab him.
5.18 - G Marc McDonald - love this one. An athletic VU guard with high volatility, and good combines where it counts. We see him as a poor man's version of Darnell Cunningham, who at the time was a nice steal by Yuma in the bottom of the 2nd. With Michael Huffman on his last legs, McDonald will have the chance to shine. Artie Samuels obviates the need for reinforcement at tackle, and a superb camp from McDonald could push out veteran Greg Bell.
We have one more pick left before we finish this thing, and a few guys on the list. Hoping for a fruitful round 7; we probably won't be acquiring any more picks.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.
