2025 Draft Utility is Up and Ready!

The actual draft does not officially start until next Wednesday, 07/25. At that time the draft clock will run from 8am - 11pm ET.

I will however be turning the draft on in an untimed fashion as of now. That has worked well in the past so we'll go ahead and follow suit once again. Just throwing this up now so people can start to check in and get registered. There is no pressure at this point for anyone to make any selections, however if the selecting team feels prepared and ready to go by all means do so.

Please, when registering include a viable email address.

Once we go to the timed portion beginning at 8am next Wednesday:

Pick Times:
1st Round: 2.5 hours
Rounds 2-4: 2 hours
Rounds 5-7: 1 hour

IMPORTANT NOTES:


Upon logging into the draft utility for the first time, please register your team by entering the user name (The three letter city code found in the game), a password of your choice and an email account.

Please check the picks you have been assigned to make sure it matches what you think you have. I took the draft order from the latest league file, so if you have traded picks since then you will need to send those picks to the appropriate team via the utility interface as soon as possible.

The rest of the utility is pretty self explanatory and there are a ton of instructions throughout the utility. Let me know if you have any questions.

I love the untimed portion. It lets us get through, hopefully, a good chunk of the first round , making the first timed day of the draft much easier on everybody.

As an added plus, it reduces the number of owners who miss their first round picks, because the pre-draft period gives everyone on the clock much more than 2.5 hours to make their moves, solicit for trades, etc.

Sooooo, since I on no account would like to see Liening in the AC West, would somebody please step up and take this pick away from Denver already :-D

Won't be long before the draft kicks off. Expect something to happen around sim time if not slightly after sim. I want to be fair and give 1 more team the chance to get back to me. Then open game for the rookies.

With the first pick of the 2025 OSFL draft, the Denver Grizzlies pick WR Grant Liening.

And now, the burning question for the 2026 Stevens Cup champions: how hard did teams come at you for Liening? Was nobody really inclined to give up 3 firsts / 2 seconds, or in the end was it just a matter of wanting to secure a receiver for that offense?

I'm shocked this pick wasn't traded. I would have been interested but I was put off by the price and my needs at QB and RB.

The guy is obviously a beast and will improve an already very good team

I'm sure most people were. Taking one of the three AMAZING WRs at 1.1 was the smart choice, imho, but since there were three clear cut top picks it's hard to get as much as he wanted (imho). Regardless, gotta love that pick.

The draft is untimed right now. So we're on pick 1.2 and Memphis can wait as long as they like to make their pick (or trade it). We tend to want to get through most of the 1st round before the official timer starts as it helps the draft move faster.

As it is now there's no pressure to get picks in, but be aware that you might be up for a pick before the official, timed portion of the draft.

Now we've got the first non-receiver off the board, and it was an interesting choice - S Darrell Schulz as the first DB, instead of corner Chris Hutchins. Can't argue with the pick though. Schulz looks beastly. And I didn't really pay attention to what else was at the top of the draft :P The rest of the top 10 is going to be interesting.
