Next SIM = REG6 Sunday 06/10. Files due by 6pm ET.

Sunday's SIM will run much later than usual. Probably late in the evening, just FYI.

The boxscores from today's SIM will eventually be up, I'm seriously dealing with dialup type speeds here. Sorry about the delay all the way around.

Boxscores and Gamelogs (when they're available):

    Wow!!

Erickson passes for 603 yards, shattering the old mark of 480, yet we lose 34-29.

          Wow. Totally wasn't expecting that.

What I was expecting was Gainesville's WR duo to have their way with our young secondary. Which they did nailing big pass plays all game long. 603 passing yards? That's about 3 games worth for our team. Insane.

What I wasn't expecting was our team to pop out to a 21-0 lead early. Or our team holding Gainesville to just 3 FG (and one missed) in the first half.

Two huge plays for us in the first half help make that possible. First was a big pass play of our own in the form of a 78 yard TD toss to FB Stan Grier. 69 rumblin', stumblin' yards after the catch from a player who's "keep in to pass block" is set at 100%.

The second came was a tackle at our 8 yard line by LB Robert Jamison to save the TD on a 86 yard reception by rookie Paul Harward. Jamison's hustle (and a sack 2 plays later) helped us turn what should have been seven points given up right before the end of the half to just three.

Another big part of our victory once again was field position. Our average drive started at our own 42, and our worst starting field position was our 22. Gainesville, on the other hand, started on average from their own 16. Their best staring field position of the day was only their 33 and three of their drives started from inside their own 5 yard line. While Gainesville's offense has talent to overcome starting so far back each time (2 of their 3 drives starting from inside their 5 yard line ended in scores), ours does not and we need all the help we can get.

A couple of milestones in this game for us as well. An unexpected win here gives the Camden franchise its 200th regular season win (second all time to that team we play next week).

And three touchdowns in this game move RB Burt Newman into the #1 spot all time for total touchdowns with 124. The amazing part of that number for Newman is that he did it in only 117 games compared to the 174 and 172 games needed by the two players he passed (Cris Gardner and Rico Lofton). Years of carrying this team on his shoulders may have left Burt "Oldman" Newman a shell of his former self, but he's still got a nose for the end zone.

            GG Garion.

The Irish defense showed up today, holding Morgantown under 200 total yards. All the scoring got done in the first half, and I thought for sure we were going to overtime when our first rounder Cary Anastasiades came up with a huge pick deep in Morgantown territory. That set us up for the field goal and the win.

It's about time we showed a little fight.

GG Mike. Yup, looks like I went with the wrong offensive gameplan there. We started out well and then went nowhere.

Three picks and we still didn't win. That's not good.

Brad, I'm as patient as can be (understanding the crap a commish goes through), but I'm curious if you have an ETA of when we'll go live.

If I can get to 3-3 with 5 of first 6 on the road, I will be happy
