For those who are more graphically talented than I am, feel free to take a shot at making the banner for the site. I did away with the search box and other junk on the top bar so it can be alot wider than the current one I have.

I like the banner that is there now, but I do think it would be cool to have a banner that incorporates the logos of the teams somehow. I might give it a shot also.

Go to work man. I like how Wessinmouse's has the yard lines and hash marks. That would be a cool background for the banner.

ok, here's what i've got so far.
I do plan on adding the team logos like in the above example. i just need to get all the logos first

now that i've posted that banner, i'm not sure i like the field in the background....hmm

I edited the banner with some of the logos i've recieved already.
Obviously, the teams will be lumped in their divisions, this is just a draft to see how it looks.

What do you guys think? is it going in the right direction?

Nice work...looks good so far. My only suggestion would be that someone make a sweet unique league logo to place in the middle....also maybe we can create and add some conference logos. Just some thoughts...your work is appreciated!

well, I did make that logo for the middle. Obviously it is a knock off, but I customized it a bit.

I thought the classic look would be cool, I could work on a few other logos though.
