Yeah Brad, official statement?
Seems like status quo with the close votes. We don't have an official policy but rule changes should probably need more universal agreement. But I am OK with whatever the commish decides.Last edited by Aston; 09-20-2011, 03:19 PM.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

well with the votes the way they were things should stay the same this season and then starting next off season the new rules if any should be observed
again i wholly disagree with the 3 year
again ill say the grey sheet rule makes things harder and arent we play MP to make the game harder?
in reality no 6th or 7th year player is gonna sign a 3 year deal they want long term security they want that big LONG TERM contract. and the grey sheet observes that. even if were not talkign reality then the fact that the 4 or 5 year deal you sign has so many risks as opposed to a shoert 3 year deal.
look at columbus and russell shanks ben signed him for 5 years at $10 mil a year. and he was concussed after year 1. granted it was bens team so no real harm done but 10 mil of dead cap space for 4 years makes you make intresting choices.
and even without ben at the helm columbus was ok

The reneg rule on the other hand is a rule that is double sided. Teams can get themselves into SERIOUS multi-year trouble if misused.
You're gonna bruise that horse if you keep beating it! :)Columbus Catfish (2020-2030 & 2036-2038)
