Well, that does it boys. That wraps up the preseason. I hope everyone saw what they needed to see. Time to get those rosters trimmed. I'll do a scheduled MIDWEEK SIM tomorrow, anticipating kicking off the Regular Season - Week 1 on Friday 08/12.

Great. We lost starting RB Kendrick Rose for the season with a blown knee. Dammit!

Columbus pulls out a close one against Utah...gg! It's only the preseason, but it was a rather ugly game for both QBs. Randy Boone threw two picks (53.9 rating), and Bobby "The Truth" Tubbs went 17/39, 196 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 interceptions - 35.8 rating.

Of course both teams were probably messing around a bit, given that it is the preseason.

Columbus did manage to scrape out 233 rushing yards on 36 attempts, so there's that...to worry about, if you're a Utah Bees squad that just traded away your two best run defenders, and gave your run-blocking TE to the Cucumber-toting Los Alamos Monsters, whom you are facing in Week 1. Yikes!

Randy Boone gave me a scare with a minor knee injury, but it didn't seem to stop him on his would-be comeback drive at the end of the 4th, when he scrambled for 22 yards. The promising drive was cut short, however, after Boone was replaced by Wendell Longhenry, who clocked the ball at least twice and scrambled for no gain twice more, to turn it over on downs. (Edit: OK, Boone is probable for 5 weeks with knee tendinitis. This is a bit more than a scare)

How about this, though - WR Richie Carlisle - 7 catches, 9 targets, 89 yards. Making his mark, this 14/24 rookie.

That injury to Rose does not look good...20 weeks, ACL. Wonder if he'll return to form! He looked like a beast coming out.

What an ugly game. 3 first quarter turnovers by us. Hopefully we got that out of our system now. gg

bit of a pillow fight 1 fg in the first 3 quarters and then a scoring "explosion" (15 points) in the 4th, need to put more points on the board

By the way, wonder if anyone's going to sign that kicker, Mario McPhail. Yea, that's really his name...! :P Gotta be good luck or something.

I don't know what to think of my team. My QB is right on track throwing TD passes to both teams and my defense loves giving up big plays but then they come up with 3 INT's and a fumble return for a TD. I think this season is going to be a bumpy ride.

111 yards of total offense...we end with a whimper. I guess that's what happen when you start 5 rookie OL! Kinda what I can look forward to when Dallas starts 2 rookie OL this preseason!

Lol. Played Heurta for the first time to knock off the rust. It states he still has significant rust. Hmm 12 carries for 173 yards and still rusty.

We stayed healthy throughout the preseason, which is good and bad. Its good because we will be at full health for week 1. Its bad because we had to cut a bunch of good players, including some draft picks who would have made the team in most circumstances. Its ok though, our stars played lights out for the preseason and our defense looked good from top to bottom. We expect big things.

Hmmm, lack of injuries. I'm sure that has nothing to do with having a new head coach. :P
