Geez, talk about taking a stab in the dark. I must say that Riverman did a good job of drafting before I got here or maybe it was the scout he had.

In reality, it was the doing of whatever version of OOTP we were on. The guys, well, I should say kids, were really overmatched. Most of them were 16 and 2-2-2-2-2 on current ratings and really got dominated against the Single-A ranks.
What version of OOTP did you guys start out with?

I wonder how many prospects were killed off because they weren't ready to compete?

Doesn't the game lower ratings for players if they play at a level for a while, and fail, if it's above their current ability?

I think there is some to truth to that. I know the BLB as a whole would benefit from a rookie level of minors, but it's all good.

Yeah, a fourth level of minors would be nice. As long as we're talking about wishes, I wish the game incorporated an Arizona Fall League type of thing.

They do have "rookie ball". Trust me I'm in another league with 4 levels and its a pain to manage.

Really? A rookie level makes it a "pain?" Isn't it a significantly shorter season?

I've been playing OOTP since 2003 (Jistic is that right?) so I'm just use to the whole 3 level thing.

Its just strange to have ur scout say "Not ready for A ball". Maybe I'm getting old. Feeder leagues from everywhere!!!

                    I would love that.

Oh, I know the game has rookie ball. I meant it would be nice if our league utilized it.

Actually, all of the minor league levels can be set up for as long or short a season as we want. If we had one we could set it up to start as the players were added to our teams after the draft.

But yeah, not sure how it would be a pain. Just another level of minor league players to manage. Plus we wouldn't have so many young dudes sitting in Free Agency.

I don't think it is by any means something that needs to be done. I know a lot of managers just let the CPU run their minors.

I'm in other leagues with four minor league teams and it's just a bit much, in my opinion.

The talent really starts to thin out and you're basically at a point where you're constantly just looking for players to just fill a bunch of useless spots because you need to field a team.

I like managing my minor league teams and knowing why a certain player is where he is. My patience begins to falter as I drop a minor league level. By the time you get to A ball, you really only care about three or four guys. Everyone else is a long shot that needs a ratings bump no one expected.

                            Clay was Riverman's bitch.
