Good stuff. I've been meaning to write a similar article, since my immediate BLB future is a bit bleak though I'm not much of a writer.

I think former Denver Bull farmhand Brad Sanford got cheated.

Haha. Glad to see you are following my teams so closely.

Yeah, Sanford had a great season. As did previous Bull prospect Manny Duran. Unfortunately for Sanford, he hurt his back two weeks ago and will be out until the Spring, thus missing his first chance to be called up. Unfortunately for Duran, he has pitched like shit in his two September stints. Just might not have enough control for the BLB level.

Control is why I wasn't too sure about them. Winchel did great for his one and a half years in Denver, but if those guys can figure out their control, they should be good pitchers.

I watched Sanford because I like to see how some of the guys are doing and because he seemed to be Jeremiah's biggest threat to win POY in AAA. I think his injury hurt his chances a bit though. Gray also hit the 200 IP mark and pitched like garbage in his last two starts (one in the postseason). Soooo, someone is going to be monitored heavily in 1991.

I always liked Sanford, though, so I do hope he can figure it out after the injury.

Yeah, both of them have been rated the same (potential) since the trade and the control has always been the issue. You can make it in the BLB with below-average stuff and below-average movement, but I'm not sure you can survive with bad control.
