I still don't understand how he played Augusta if he almost qualified. Or did he almost make the cut? In that case, at 16, unless he had his card on the PGA Tour at 15, he must have won the US Am or Mid-Am, or qualified for the US Open the year before and finished in the top 16 just to get invited to the Masters.
