What's funny is I think this is one of the best teams we've had in 5 years. For once I'm not scouring the waiver wire or Rule 5 draft for players.

I'd like to expect we'd finish better than last but one thing I've learned from this game is that I should never expect anything.

Good job on the report though...and secret formula.

Clay's system has predicted Denver in last place in each of the last three seasons.

But I know what division I play in. No one runs away with it in there.

This is new system. The last two were just "guesses"... this is math.

Airly certain the wc will never play a divisional foe in the first round.
          Charlotte Knights - OSFL
          Syracuse Slammers - BLB
South America - 1984 WBC Runner Up

Pretty sure it's by record in the BLB. Top seed plays WC.

              I was wrong.

1985: No standings prediction but because division winner was predicted to be Dallas and Indy was predicted as WC, Denver finishes no higher than third (probably in last place).
              1986: Denver in last place
              1987: Denver in last place
              1988: Denver finishes third
              1989: Denver in last place

              In actuality:

1986: Denver in last place (Clay was right)
              1987: Denver in third place
              1988: Denver in first place
              1989: ?

Lets see if the math is better. :)

I can't disagree with Shavermetrics this year. Although I'm hoping that Loren Wallace lives up to that #4 prospect billing.

Obviously Shavermetrics are based 100% on where the math sees the league today. If Dallas loses Brode and Guzman in Week 1, things can change quickly. Not sure how or if I'll update at all during the season.

Well, I personally hope your math is wrong, but I give credit where it's due. Not easy to release these things.

I also ask for permission to use these predictions in a future article (you will be referenced).

As a potential division winner, I hope there's no such thing as the "Shavermetrics Curse"...a la the Madden NFL Cover Curse.
