Very pleased to have 4 All-Stars this season.

However, Jim Newlin (0 votes) making it over Joshua Poling (4 votes) smells a little like home-cooking to me. We'll add that to our "reasons to hate Philly" list.

I'm a little biased, no doubt, but I'm pretty sure his season can stand the heat. IMO he's been the second best 2B in the IL for the first half. Pretty sure his lack of All-Star votes is due to the utility placing him in the 3B category since he's been playing out of position for half the season due to Juan Coera's injuries. And, for the record, I only made recommendations on Manager's picks, I did not have final say.

I have an interest in seeing your "reasons to hate Philly list".

For the record, he got no votes at 3B either.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty clear here in your prior post:

            However, Jim Newlin (0 votes)
Not surprising since the top 3 vote getters at 3b have last names like:

Would that be Vincent Nino who also got votes and didn't make the team that Newlin did?

I believe they are one and the same, yes.

Batavia is very excited to see SP Chet Stephens make the squad. On any other team with decent offensive numbers he might have 10 or more wins at the break.

I don't understand how his ratings were so high, then so low...then he pitches like he does...but we're grateful.

Hurray! My three free agent signings are all stars.

Now its time for the IL to show the DL how to play ball.
