      Yeah, its gonna be interesting to see how these pitchers will handle the transition to the steroid era. We've had a lot of pitchers put together some amazing statistical seasons but we'll see how they handle the added punch hitters in the next decade will wield.

            In Campo's case it's pretty amazing. That team scored 5.35 runs per game and he still nearly led the list.

                • Well, for how bad that team was, Virginia was that much better. That's the crazy thing about this Stat of the Day.

                      • Its an incorrect stat cause its going based on in-game. Scott didn't win SS that season, Woodbury did. In fact, he achieved said stat that season.

                                FWIW, Pat Reardon had 41 saves his rookie year. But he did have a BLB stint in late 81 which didn't ruin his rookie eligibility but I suppose was his "debut" year.
