Ivan Arellano clearly didn't like playing for me. Horrible sophomore slump this year.

It's funny... besides being sooooo heavily slanted to the early days when guys stole a lot more bags, it's funny how often my team is on here. That was one of the first major "philosophy changes" that I put in. I actually picked up on the fact that we could run, but could be run on. So I made the decision to draft players who could run and stick to skilled defensive catchers. Now I would argue my teams are the best in the league at this. 4th straight year we've had the league leader in SB... and the 2nd IL Glove Wizard at Catcher in the past 3.The Great One!

I don't understand.
Is this stat saying you tried to 205 times but you were only successful 60 times? That's a horrible %.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

Here's what I don't get: why are teams running when they're gonna be thrown out?
I'm guessing this is why we don't see Virginia in 1988 or 1986 on that list.
In other words, this is a good stat to be a part of, but it can leave out really good teams.Denver Bulls

I think its actually a bad stat to be part of.
You didn't steal a ton of bases... but your opponents thought so little of your catcher that they attempted to steal a ton of bases.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

This is saying, in a nutshell, "your team is slow and your Catcher sucks."The Great One!

IMO it doesn't matter. I have two teams on there. One won the division, the other won 71 games. I don't think stolen bases, and the risks involved in attempting them are usually worth it in the long run. I'd rather keep my baserunner and not give up an out if it doesn't work.
Obviously there are situation where it's the right thing to do, I'm only speaking generally. I used to, heck I still might I'll have to check, but I had my stolen bases on never or very little on my team strategy.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS
