We already know that BABIP can vary from year-to-year. Lots of variables when the ball is put in play. But, when a guy hits a homerun, it's a homerun. Nothing changes that. When a guy takes ball four or swings at strike three, it's a walk or strike out, respectively. Nothing changes that.
So, these guys at the top of the list are the guys with the greatest likelihood of controlling their results.
