My scout has him considerably higher than a lot of remaining pitchers in the top 100. As does OSA.

    • Yeah, I know OSA has him high... but my Scout says something like "Maybe a few more innings, but not a long term solution" or something like that. I figure he's going to either unmask in my scouts eyes... or he's going to crash soon.

I would be more inclined to believe that if he wasn't pitching so well this season. I think it is pretty hard to be lucky over that many innings.

My scout is an idiot so I don't pay much attention to what he says anymore, but for the record, he has Magness with very solid potential ratings but then says nasty things about him in his report.

Maybe the loss of qualification for the BA list for starting pitchers is more than 25 games. I think Magness had 29 starts last season and Makungu is right at 25 now.

Fitz FINALLY makes his debut on the top 100. About time.
I thought he'd turn into a pretty good prospect when we made that trade. Ochoa's been a solid player for me, so it's working out for both of us it looks like.

Ochoa is a bitch. That dude never hit for me in the least. Now, he is good for a .300 average and a good corner outfielder.

My scout thinks more of Fitz than he did at the time of the trade. He might be a bit on the injury-prone side however. If he continues to hit like he has so far in Triple-A this year, he will be up with the big league club in no time.

My 1986 outfield will probably be:
Versus Righties LF Padilla, CF Nago, RF Paulet
Versus Lefties LF Padilla, CF Fitzsymons, RF Nago

And if I re-sign Hogan, who knows.

            • Just a bump. Can't wait till the new ratings come out.

              • With our current settings it only updates once a year over the winter. We can change it so it updates throughout the year like in past version. Any opinions either way?

                • i would like to see updated ratings. but if that adds a LOT of time and size to the file, then let's keep it this way.

                  • Yeah, I like seeing it update as we go. In some ways it helps with deciding the value of a player.

I don't think it affects the file either way. Just a matter of preference.

                      • Is it either or? Or can we dictate when it happens? Like I'd love to see it once a month or every 6 weeks maybe.

                        • I agree with Sully and Rubisco. Can the setting be changed now or would we have to wait until the offseason? I'd also like to see how the new draftees fit in.

                          • Would this not add a lot to the file size... I mean... it would add text to each prospects player card... thus making that card larger in size... right?

                            • It's either or but the setting can be changed at any time. So for example I could change it to dynamic now that the prospects are in. Then change it back to annually until the draft next year. It would update twice a year in that scenario (june and december).

I'd imagine the file increase would be minimal, or hardly noticeable.
