That should be Starting Pitcher "The Skull" (Battle Creek Flakes, Double A) pitching potential DROPS.

      • So its ok to start a kid at a higher level? I thought it was bad for players to skip levels in OOTP... or does that only apply for a guy going from A to AAA or AA to the BLB?

My understanding is it is bad to move a player to a level for which he is not ready. Evidently Clay believes that "The Skull" is ready for AA.

I do indeed. However, we all know that I am an awful judge of talent.

            • Antonio Romo saw a potential increase this sim, and jumped up to #25 after being completely out of the top 100.

He's hit well at all 3 levels of the minors since being drafted, and is batting over .320 with the BLB club this season.

                Well, it IS Tony Romo.

                Sort of.

                • I haven't had any player see a potential increase. Every single email I get is of a player taking a ratings hit. My players suck :(

                  • I still don't get Manny Hernandez...I really don't.

He gets drafted last year, pitches 60-ish innings and gets a 3.00 ERA. He was like the #30 best prospect in the league. Then after the season, he falls off the list completely and his ratings take a shit.

Now this year, he's 4-3 with a 2.54 ERA in 67 innings, but his ratings still suck and he's nowhere to be found on the top prospect list. I don't get it.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to that list. I have several guys I think of as above average prospects who have never been on that list.

                        • ha, the reason I picked the guy was because of his name. I was hoping to watch him fail miserably at A-ball, then cut his ass.

                          Oh well...

                          • Did some prospects drop off? I added Makungu, but jumped from 7th to 3rd. I also noticed Alvarez is at #5, and Romo is at #13. Unfortunately, they both play the same position. :(

                            • I hate that. My two best AAA players right now play the same position and a position that is filled for at least one more season at the BLB level.

No worries though... I'm sure the expansion teams will help us all thin the heard.

                              • My two best offensive players are C and 1B. My best hitting prospect is a C that's getting closer to being ready. The problem is, when he comes up, he has Kirby in front of him. Kirby could move to 1B, but Tillbrook is there.

So somebody's gotta go eventually. Although Kirby is locked in BIG time on the cheap.
