I loved Vern Branch during the draft and didn't end up taking him later in the draft due to already having a backlog of 3B from earlier this year and the draft last year.

Somehow Victor Melendez went from 26th last sim to completely out of the top 100 this week, despite hitting .304 with 4 RBI his first pro week. I guess that makes sense.

so interesting update... Jud Graham my third pick this year went from out of the top 100 prospects up to #2 in the entire game... Very odd.

Fell to last place as Saul Soriano tumbles out of the top 100. He was in the 70s last week I think, and has been pitching great at AAA. Not really sure what to think about that.

Wow. That along with the fact that he threw 100 pitches in his last start tells me that he got an endurance bump. Congrats, it looks like the gamble taking him so high might actually pay off.

Weird. None of my scouts noticed a upgrade in his endurance... but then again they all had him at a 5 anyways. So I guess now it's the truth.

In his first 3 starts he threw 53 pitches (shutout), 56 pitches (1 hit shutout) and 62 pitches. In his last start he threw 100 which coincided with his jump in the BA rankings.

This is my opinion on what happened. He was created with a high 4 as endurance which is why some scouts saw him as a 4 and others as a 5. Endurance seems to be all or nothing in terms of who can be a starter. A guy that's rated a high 4 is never going to be a starter if his endurance remains the same. It seems in your case his endurance went up enough to make him click over to a 5 in the AI's mind, which makes him a viable starter now.

                    • Jose Guzman had been my top prospect for a while but he must've played enough games for him to drop from the top prospects list, which made me drop down to 4th overall. It was nice being either 1st or 2nd but I'll take top 5.

I have four of the top 19 hitting prospects in the game. Future looks bright.
