Agreed. This can be such a great feature when dealing with contract talks also.

Never seen Greed or Loyalty as a major factor in contract talks. I've seen "very high" greed guys be the easiest guys dealing with. It just appears to be window dressing.

"Team Leader" seems to help most come playoff time, but honestly thats just a theory. C Dave Piekarski has never been our team captian yet has a career .343ave/ .974OPS and only recently his work ethic went from low to normal so kind of throws that off.

The only other theory I've had his lazy or dumb guys tend to be suspended more. Least appears that way.

Again, I know there's alot under the hood so perhaps alot of values cancel each other out???

    I don't know.

      I don't know.

      I think it is there.

It's probably all just weighted under the hood (depending on the player and situation) so you can't make a direct correlation to the character traits in most cases.

He plays in a state that has legalized marijuana and for a team that hasn't made the playoffs in nine seasons. What do you think?

            • As expected, the switch to '17 is showing lots of movement.

              • Yep, big changes. Positive ones for me, as CJ Thompson shoots to #6 and Tom Mackey rises to 40. Also a new top 100 prospect as Kevin Langford is in at 83.

Not sure my scout sees them better than before, but whatever decides the top 100 is at least slightly different.

We apparently have no talent in '17.

                    • Interesting to see Gotschall rated much higher (15) than McGraw (45) on the OSA list but McGraw ranked as Denver's top organizational prospect over Gotschall.

Gotta remember this is when everything bounces around and the switch only adds to that.

                        • Went from the 10th best system to the 15th with Corr and Joiner falling completely off the list. Gotta say this transition to 17 lowkey sucks.

We went from 14th and three prospects to 26th and no prospects on the list. No complaining.

But like UMD said, the TPL is going to be wild until after the new year anyway.

Yeah the more I looked into it, OSA still had most of my guys with similar ratings as before, just top 100 randomness. And, Jamie Stillwell must've done some work on his changeup because it's now a potentially viable pitch and I may not be forced to make him a reliever.

jk 17 isn't bad but my scout can EAD

Oh not worried about the rankings. I know it's going to change a lot this time of year.

Just think it's odd that OSA is saying one prospect is better than the other and then reversing that in another report. Don't think I've seen that before.
