  • Justin Linesman now looks like the superstar my scout told me he was. OSA had him in 5's in 11 now he looks like he is going to be the next Woodbury
    BLB- Seattle Reign

    • Woodbury has become the Michael Jordan of the BLB. We're seeing a measuring stick develop of "the next Woodbury."

So... Who's Harold Minor? Vince Carter?

The only semi-legit comp that has actually shown glimpses has got to be Al Hamilton, right?

Doesnt appear to have his base stealing ability.

Doorbells best years were in his 30's so think its gonna be awhile until true comparisions start. Alot of OF's start out strong young only to flame out by they're early 30's.

Longevity is what makes Doorbell a special breed.

Same issue. Very little basestealing ability. Plus his walk to stike out ratio compared to Doorbell.

Knight is a different comp. I'm not pulling a good NBA one from the Jordan era, but he's the guy that likely would have been Jordan, if there was no Jordan. Does that make sense? He's like 91.8% of Woodbury, which would have been enough to be the best 5 tool OF in the game IF there was no Logo.
Sau and Hamilton are good comps, but they lack speed and still TBD on Defense.

Even a guy I've call "Next Logo?" my prospect TJ "Don't Call Me Cutini" Knudson, can't ever be a true COMP because he's going to be a mediocre defender at best.

                • SS Hctor Chvez will be better if he can stay healthy.

                  Well, solved this Doorbell thing.

This discussion is excluding Hector Chavez, correct? Amri Sau. I love to hate him.

                    • Chavez maybe becomes a different stick because of his position. But even a straight Comp (and I LOVE Chavez) not sure he has the power, straight steals, and D as logo.

I think Chavez, Knight and an emerging Hamilton ARE areguably the best in the IL right now, with guys like Maeda and Mike Murdock highlighting the next tier.

If you look, the Import is surprisingly thin in high level proven hitters. Its certainly more top heavy in Pitching IMO. The elite class of IL Hitters is a pretty small group.

                          • I think Deleon has a chance to be in that elite group. Not a Woodbury comp, but he could be pretty good if he continues to progress.

I've always really liked Marshburn as well. He's going to be awesome.

Jonathan Morris is another legit contender. Zak Gaston may be the best 4-tool in the league. Lacks only the power to make a clear comp to Logo.

                              • Somehow Gaston always seems to slip my mind. As you mentioned, he doesn't have the power but he's still a great hitter. Morris just needs to stay healthy now that his ratings have progressed.

Hamilton has developed some power that those guys lack. If it weren't for Chavez, I'd say he could be legit Triple Crown contender.
