I don't even understand the criteria behind it. It can't be OSA because they have guys in there that are like 4-5-4 potential that even a lot of our scouts hate. But it's always been that way.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS

I realize that OSA is different than our scouts, but even OSA can't agree with itself. There are guys in minor league systems that OSA sees as having very good potentials that somehow don't get Top 100 recognition over guys with lower potentials.
Never will understand it. Never will.Denver Bulls

Also, positions definitely changed since the last sim and some guys were added.
All I see is that on April 6, 1992 the OSA released two lists that are supposed to be based on the same exact criteria, but are entirely different. Makes no sense. I asked in the OOTP Forums and that place is the worst. So glad I don't visit anymore. People are not very helpful there.Denver Bulls

From the ever so helpful OOTP manual:
BA Top Prospects
The Baseball America Top Prospects report contains a ranked listing of the top prospects for the selected league or team. If this report is selected from within a league report, it will display the top 100 prospects in the selected league, along with the parent league team to which they belong. If this report is selected from within a team report, it will display the top 10 prospects in the selected team's organization.
Click here to see a sample Baseball America Top Prospects (league) report
Click here to see a sample Baseball America Top Prospects (team) report
To access this report:
- From within the League Home or Team Home reports, click on BA Top Prospects in the Link box on the right side of the page.
Minor league players are ranked by the OSA scouting agency, based on its analysis of each team's minor league system. You don't necessarily have to agree with the rankings, and they can change from day to day based on different assessments by different OSA staff.
Personally, I think it's a great list.Washington Bats, 2013-

Liquid's little blurb there about different OSA staff. Hmm, guess different staff provides the ratings for Baseball America than the one that puts out the list for OSA.Denver Bulls

Again... the Top 100 list hasn't changed in sync with the new report...
You say "it must have because there are different players on it"
I say "yeah... cause it's a dynamic report at 15 days were SIMMED last time, so numerous changed could have been made prior to the official report coming out on Opening Day"
You say "so will it match after Friday's SIM"
I say "Not necessarily... it mill likely match after I sim the first day... but it can then change at any point after that."
You say "Damn.... Clay... how'd you get so smart and good lookin?"
I say "Fuck off"The Great One!
To many rings to count...

All I use the top 100 prospects list for is trading lousy prospects of mine who somehow wind up on the list, or acquiring "bad" prospects from other teams who are actually good but just not on the list.
It, much like OSA scouting, means nothing to me.SIN CITY GAMBLERS since 1990
NEW ORLEANS DUKES since 1993
1998 BLB Champions
2000 BLB Champions

Ok, more fuel to the fire. The player card updates on 04/06 don't really have anything to do with the BA Top 100 Prospects list. Take for example OF Hugh Brown, rated as #89 according to the most recent BA list. Go to his player card and find "04/06/1992: Named the #46 prospect in the BLB".
Little bit of a disparity there.Philly Freedom
