  • OK, I updated the top systems and top prospects pages.

I stayed at 16 but the names changed. I'm shocked Clarence Evans jumped so high. I don't think he was ever on the list and now that he's in the BLB, he jumped to 28.

Anyone want to add when players were drafted to Clay's list from the current draft? I was surprised to see my 3rd round pick on there.

      Sounds fishy to me.

      • Sweet. We jump from the 7th bestn system back to the top where we belong. Mediocre big league club, but a load of soon-to-not-live-up-to-their-potential youngsters. Add that to the market size list.

Our draft turned out great... in the top 100...
39 Raúl Pérez Syracuse 20 SP
        44 Cristóbal Sandoval Syracuse 18 2B
67 Raúl Villanueva Syracuse 18 RF
        75 Clint Underwood Syracuse 23 C

Villaneueva was a surprise. Hopefully Perez pans out... In addition, Hector Carbajal takes the #3 spot despite being out for 3 months, and Justin Chewning only drops from #10 to #20 after his season ending injury during the first week. We now have ten guys in the top 100, including three catchers. Which means nothing, of course.

I loved Yates during the draft and thought he would slip to my next pick. I would have taken him at 2.7 if I thought he wasn't going to be there at 2.20. Great pick Sully.

        • Well, still too early to know how much at all to trust the BA ratings.... but Pancho Hererra coming out as the best in the class helps to justify my trading next year's 2nd to go up and get him.

Still young... still early.... but... "The Skull" and "Ironfist"... worst case scenerio I'm going to have a sweet 80's Hair Metal Band.

          • Ironfist is the real deal. My scout has him and my 2B Robert Abbott as "HOF" type potential.

            • Just to show the disparity in scouting.

The overall top pick by all of our scouts was Geoff Elliott.

OSA doesn't even have him in the top 100.

This just gives me a headache.

              • My scout thinks Herrara will be a #3 starter and Abbot as pathetic. Also thinks O'Furey will disappoint and has no shot. he's an 80 scouting amateurs, so i have no idea what is going on.

                • 3 hitters and 1 pitchers from my draft crack the top 100 for what it's worth, all 4 of my top picks. I'll take it, but it's practically meaningless. Shawn Gates continues to climb the rankings to #37, but it's just a matter of time before he falls off a cliff and is never heard from again, if he's like any of my other prospects.

I hope your scout is as right on Dodson as he was on Gonzalez :)

                      • And we have a new #1 prospect...Denver Otter Brode.

In the meantime Pawtucket dropped like a stone w/ Rodriguez losing his prospect eligibility.

Speaking of the Otter, while his record isn't outstanding (he's not Tardif or anything) he is having a pretty solid season...I hope in contention for DL New Brew. I don't have the game here...anyone know who the other top DL contenders are for the New Brew?

Avery of Indy and Wallace of Hyundai have put up similar stats to Brode. For the hitters the top two are probably Remy and Ortiz both of Pawtucket. I'd say there is no clear choice right now and it will depend upon the last two months.
