What a crazy two weeks as the playoff have-nots have turned into the playoff haves. This past week LAD went 6-0 and are now basically a coin flip with New York for the final Wild Card playoff spot. Meanwhile Pittsburgh and Hartford both went 4-2, and have crept within striking distance of the Clowns. Other top weeks were Washington and Carolina, who both went 6-1. On the flip side Phoenix and Cali went 1-6, while New York and New Orleans went 1-5.

Performance of the Week
P Cayden Wittmeyer - In a potential Pale Ale season, Wittmeyer is just getting stronger as the season comes to an end. On September 20th against Batavia he tossed a 2-hit, no run, 12 K performance as the Pilots won 4-0. Wittmeyer is now 17-7 with a 2.12 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 189 ERA+. All those numbers are career highs. Looks the 31 year old is coming into his prime!
Prospect of the Week
CF Brian Wheat - He capped off his season in A ball by playing in all 120 games and hitting .297/.346/.576 with 29 HRs and 115 RBIs. He's also now played in three postseason games where he's hitting .385 with 3 RBIs and a stolen base. Did we mention Toronto is going to be stacked in a few seasons?
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Congrats to Dominique Graham for recording hit #3000 in the BLB, the 19th player in the history of the league to do so. Drafted 1.21 in 2037, he was traded to Syracuse eleven games into the 2040 season. From there he's become a 9x All-Star, 6x Designated Driver, 6x playoff series MVP, and 2043 Stout Slugger. Lifetime he's hit .301 with 587 home runs (6th all-time), and 1817 runs batted in (7th all-time). He was traded for the first overall pick, which Baltimore selected Andy Phillips with. Phillips turned into a 14x All-Star who has won five Last Call awards. Overall that's a win-win in our book.
2. Another tip of the cap to Stephen Gibbs, who tossed the seasons second no-hitter two weeks ago. Against Batavia on September 10th he allowed no hits, no runs, one walk, and struck out 14 as the Bulldogs won 1-0. The next game he went 8 innings, gave up four hits, and one run...and the Bulldogs lost 2-1. Give that man some run support.
3. In a tale of two cities, it was the worst of times...and the worst of times. New Orleans is now 16 games under .500 since August 1st, New York is 12 games under .500 since August 1st. Both of them have seen their playoff odds plummet to 15% and 50% respectively. The poor Voodoo finish off the season with Montreal, Indy, and Wilmington. Meanwhile the Cyclones get Carolina, Cali, and Baltimore.
4. The Windy City Blues are not only 14-7 this month, but they now have the #1 farm system in the league. They have five prospects in the top 25, and eight in the top 100. This is great new for Chicago as the Blues and their fans have been quite blue, since they have been to the playoffs only one time since 2047 (2055). Things are finally looking up.
5. What's on tap? This week we get to start with Syracuse at Indy (Snappers all but have the Ale), and Seattle at Washington (Pilots only 1.5 back in the Bock, Bats looking to win their 7th straight Stout title). Then to finish off the week we get the huge series of New Orleans at Indy (Indy w/ a 5-2 advantage this season).
