The Bulls go 6-1 as they are back en fuego and now lead the Bock by three games. After being six games under .500 heading into June, they have gone +16 in the summer months. Other top weeks were Santo Domingo, Carolina, and Pawtucket who all went 5-2. For the Rum Runners and Tobs the season is over, but the Patriots have built a 17.5 game lead in the Ale. On the flip side Dallas, Seattle, and Phoenix all went 1-6. The Roadrunners are eight games under .500 since July 1st as they try and not go over the cliff. With one of the toughest remaining schedules in the league they need a hero, and they need one quick.

Performance of the Week
P Theodore Blume - The 23 year old is in his second season with the Millers and has helped old man Pat 'Melody' Nunes keep them afloat. This past week against Syracuse he threw a complete game two hitter, with 9 K's and a walk, as Pittsburgh won easily 11-0. On the season Blume is 10-6 with a 3.07 ERA and 131 ERA+ in 24 starts.
Prospect of the Week
CF D'Vaughn Lin - Raw would be an understatement for Lin, who came into the league from Singapore last month. The 17 year old is doesn't have a lick of experience, and his skill set is pretty low, but his potential is All-Star caliber and because of that he's $7.75m richer thanks to the deep pockets of the Rum Runners. Can he make it to the BLB someday...only time will tell...but it should be a fun ride to watch.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Django Dietzen of Windy City has now recorded a hit in 32 straight games, which believe it or not is the same amount of games he's played in the BLB. He was called up July 5th, got two hits against Syracuse that day, and hasn't looked back. He was a 3rd round pick by the Blues in 2032 and struggled in the Rookie League for his first three seasons. At 20 years old he dominated A ball though and won the Outstanding Hitter Award. Since then he's slowly moved his way up the system until his major league debut 42 days ago. The record is 37 in a row by RJ Kapper. Windy City plays six games this upcoming week. What a story that would be.
2. Eleven of the twelve teams in the Import now have at least a chance of making the playoffs according to the probability report. Ranging from 100% (Washington) to 1.3% (Carolina/New York) the final 40+ games could mean for a wild ending. With the trade deadline now officially over, what you see is what you get.. Will that call-up from AAA push a team over...will that unforeseen injury derail a run? Stay tuned for a good time had by all, or for at least those who make it in the end.
3. Want to steal a base...play Seattle. The Pilots have allowed 342 stolen bases this season in 404 attempts. That's an RTO percentage of only 15.3. Catcher Zane Bowden was an 8th round pick, and was actually the feel good story this year when he was named an All-Star, but his lack of ability behind the plate hurts the Pilots. On the other side is Millers catcher Ismael Busbee. Known for his arm he's helped Pittsburgh throw out 43.9% of opposing runners, best in the league. The average for the entire league is 27.7%.
4. Denver's Christian Carroll notched his 300th career save this week in his outing against New York. He's now 4-5 with 35 saves and a 2.93 ERA on the season. He is the 51st player in BLB history to reach 300, which is still a pretty select group. Meanwhile there are only 24 players with 400 or more saves, 10 players with 500 or more saves, four players with 600 or more saves, and just one player with more than 700 career saves. Come on down Reynaldo 'Stinger' Jimenez. The 15x All-Star and 2x BLB champion (both with Dallas) was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2026 and finished his career with 762 saves.
5. What's on tap? This week we get to see Denver play both second place teams in the Import as they travel first to Phoenix for three, then Batavia for four. The biggest series is the first one as the Bulls and Roadrunners are only separated by three games, and after this week will only meet one more time before the regular season ends. Can Phoenix take the series and get some momentum again, or will the Bulls deliver a staggering blow. On the mound for Denver in game one is Treshawn Cooks who is now 15-4 after picking up a win last week against Seattle. He'll compete against Norm Aouita who is looking to right his own ship after losing his last five decisions.
