Montreal took the crown last week by going 5-1 which included a sweep of division rival Santo Domingo. Joining them in the nickel club were Phoenix, Pawtucket, and Washington who all went 5-2. On the other side of life Syracuse, Indianapolis, and LAD all went 2-5, while Hartford and Windy City went 2-4. Sometimes you're the spider, sometimes you're the snail. Some team leaders: Dallas hit .341 and scored 43 runs, Phoenix allowed only 17 runs while stealing 19 bases, Indy and SDR hit 11 home runs, while Philly struck out 74 opposing batters.

Performance of the Week
RF Reid 'Ramrod' Cole - At 32 years old the 4x All-Star can still hit with the best of them, as he showed on June 18th against Philly. In four at bats he hit two home runs, drove in four, and scored three times in a 9-1 Bulls victory. On the season he's hitting .252 with 14 HR, 38 RBI, and a 113 OPS+.
Prospect of the Week
P Jamel 'Cheese' Thomas - The number one overall pick of the 2049 draft debuted at #11 on the Top Prospects list published by the OSA. This past season at White Hall High School he was 6-0 with a 2.18 ERA and 307 ERA+. So far in four innings in the Rookie League he's allowed three hits, no runs, no walks, and struck out two. He throws three solid pitches, can hit 97 mph on the gun, and is only 17 years young. Hartford now has the number one overall farm system with three pitchers in the top twelve, and 'Cheese' might be the best of them all.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Congrats to Colby 'Mirror' Hullinger who smacked his 300th career home run this past week. The 31 year old was the 3rd overall pick in the 2035 draft by New Orleans. Over his career with the Voodoo he was a 6x All-Star, 3x Stout Slugger, and 6x Designated Driver. By the way he did all that before turning 30 years old and also led New Orleans to a 2045 Brewmasters Cup title. In that season he was the DLCS and Brewmasters MVP. Much to the chagrin of fans around the country he was traded to Dallas in 2048, before being shipped to California early this season. He's still considered the top player in the league and should have a solid 3-4 more years before father time starts to catch up.
2. BLB teams handed out over $200m in extensions this past week, with most of it going to Washington's Reid Rothstein and Carolina's Zander Howard. The later picked up a 5 year deal worth $112m, while the former got 5 years at $87m. Rothstein was the 19th overall pick of the 2041 draft by Washington and has amassed a career 66-35 record with the Bats while posting a 3.00 ERA and 127 ERA+. Howard was the 24th overall pick of the 2038 draft by Carolina and has hit .253 with 166 HR, 435 RBI, and a 125 OPS+ during his career.
3. In the 'we love playing these guys' update we have a few lopsided series so far this season. Montreal is 6-0 vs Santo Domingo, Pawtucket is 7-1 vs Indy, LAD is 5-1 vs Denver, Phoenix is 6-2 vs New York, Montreal is 5-1 vs Toronto, and Washington is 5-1 vs Baltimore.
4. Pawtucket appears to be running away with the Ale as they are the only team in the league with a 100% division win probability. Washington is just a bats wing away though as they sit at 98% in the Stout. The only other 100% playoff probability team in the league is Phoenix who only has a 25% chance of winning the divisions, but a 75% chance of taking a wildcard spot. For some reason California, who leads the Bock, sits at 98% overall, while LAD also sits at 98%. At the end of the day we aren't even halfway through the season, so even though it's nice to look at, things are bound to change.
5. What's on tap? The highlight of the week is Pawtucket at Toronto as both teams are first in their respective Domestic divisions. Pawtucket is 23-13 on the road, the second best record in the league away from home. Only Pittsburgh is better at 24-12 (yet 13-23 at home). So far this season the Canadians and Patriots have squared off once in a four game series, with Toronto taking three of the four and outscoring Pawtucket 22-8. Streak wise no team has won more than two in a row, and no team has lost more than two in a row. Player wise Zion Hilker saw his 26 game hitting streak come to an end last week, but we do have some pitching streaks currently ongoing. Treshawn Cooks (DEN) and Christian Vines (CAL) haven't lost in 13 starts, while Theodore Blume (PIT) hasn't lost in 12 starts.
