Oh my we have a new number one in the Power Rankings. Even though New Orleans went 3-4 the mighty Kodiaks went 2-5 and slipped from first to second. Knowing that organization the GM will be sending out a "Tweet Storm" of anguish about how disappointed they are to be 30-15 and leading the Bock by four games. For now though congrats to the Voodoo! The top weeks though belonged to Denver, Montreal, Syracuse, and Washington who all went 5-2. On the other side those aforementioned Kodiaks went 2-5 along with Maine and Batavia.

Performance of the Week
RF Elias Steves - On May 26th against rival California none came up bigger than Steves, who turned in the top hitting performance of the season. In four at bats he tallied up four hits, two home runs, drove in six, and scored three times in a 9-0 victory. The 28 year old former second round pick has turned into a 3x All-Star and was a big reason the Bats are defending champs.
Prospect of the Week
P Trevon Pearson - He just keeps moving on up... the list that is...as Pearson is now 10th in the Top Prospect ratings. This season the 21 year old is in AAA and is 6-1 with a 2.54 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 149 ERA+ in eight starts. He was a fourth round pick by Pawtucket but came to Toronto in the Rowan Diaz deal in 2045. Toronto could be scary next season when Pearson and a few others 'move on up' to the BLB.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Seattle has attempted to steal 107 bases this year, the most in the league, with a success rate of 76.6%. California meanwhile has tried to steal 15 bases this year, the least in the league, with a success rate of 60%. The Kodiaks are 30-15, the Pilots are 21-24. What does all this mean...we have no idea. We do know though that Seattle's wSB of 3.95 is second only in the league to Dallas and their 5.63. While California's wSB of -3.05 is second to last, ahead of only the Roadrunners and their -3.26.
2. Speaking of numbers, since defense wins championships, the Dinos continue to lead the league with a +22.41 ZR. Their only position in the negative is left field, which comes in at -0.42 thanks to Cody Michell. Second is Carolina at +13.93, and third is Toronto at +9.66. On the flip side New York is at the bottom with a -10.72 as they don't have one position with a positive number.
3. Bigs news out of California that Rory Elia is on the move back to Philadelphia pending a physical. The 33 year old is a 9x All-Star, 2x Stout Slugger, 4x DWI winner, and 2037 BLB champ with Carolina. He played for the Freedom from 2041 to 2045 where he made the All-Star team twice. Last season in California he hit .305 with 24 HR's in only 94 games after coming over from Carolina via trade. He signed an $85m contract extension this off-season but found himself out of favor after starting out the season hitting .222 with 9 HR's. Will the soon to be 34 year old find some old magic left in the bat and lead Philly to the playoffs, or have we started to see the beginning of the end already? Only time will tell...and we're excited to watch.
4. Congrats to USC in the NCAA and Falmouth in the CCBL for winning their respective championships. With the playoffs over it can only mean one thing...the 2047 BLB draft. Set to take place June 16th we only have a little over two weeks before the next group of future BLB stars make their debut in the Rookie League.
5. What's on tap? How about a bunch of series with teams that haven't played each other yet this season. In the Import we get California at LAD, then New York at California. Are the Dinos for real? Is California going to rebound or will the GM put half the team on the trade block? the Domestic we get Pawtucket at Wilmington and Dallas at Santo Domingo. Like the IL, all these teams are at .500 or better. Pawtucket is the .500 team, and we think they are much better than that. Can they turn it around this week and close the 4.5 gap between them and the Clowns. As far as streaks the longest win streak in the league is two games, and the longest loss streak is also two games. Time for somebody to get hot...or cold.
