The Dinos conquered interleague by going 5-1, lead the Bock by two games, and assume the throne in the Power Rankings. Might as well crown them now! The other top week was had by IL counterpart Philly who went 5-1 and leads the Stout by a game. Wilmington meanwhile had the sad week by losing every game and going 0-6 while five teams went 2-4. Some team leaders with everyone playing six: Seattle scored 47 runs, hit 13 home runs, and swiped 16 bases...all tops in the league. On the pitching side New Orleans and LAD allowed only 11 runs while Pawtucket allowed opponents to hit only .170 while striking out 68 batters.

Performance of the Week
2B Melchior Galasso - The IAFA from Italy was signed by Seattle for a cool $5.5m back in 2035 and this is his fourth season in the BLB. On April 22nd against Hartford he turned in the top hitting performance of the young season against Hartford when he hit two home runs, drove in five, and scored four times in a 14-0 blowout of the Whalers. The 27 year old was named to his first All-Star game last year and is a 2x Designated Driver winner at second base.
Prospect of the Week
1B Mitch Marcinkowski - The 22 year old was a second round pick by Maine back in 2041 and looks like the future starter for the Guides at first. In the first week of the season in A ball he hit .560 with 1 HR, 8 RBI's, and scored 7 runs. He's worked his way up to the 26th overall prospect in the league and could reach AAA by the end of the season.

Five Things We Think We Think
1. Jaden Feldmann's stat line for the Game of the Week. Ten at bats, ten strikeouts. The previous DL record was seven, held by Pawtucket's Alejandro Arriaga which was set back in 2002. Feldmann has always been a go for broke guy. In 2044 he finished second in home runs, and first in strikeouts while last season he finished second in K's.
2. Congrats to Snappers starter Benny Gray who tossed a no-no on April 21st against Philly. Over the course of the game he walked four, struck out seven, and the Snappers won 6-0. He was a fourth round pick out of Clemson in 2039 and was one of the top prospects in the league before running into the injury bug. If he can stay healthy his 101 mph fastball combined with a wicked curve could take a lot of pressure off of Christian Vines.
3. We had our first brawl of the season as Seattle and Toronto got into some fisticuffs on April 18th. In the 5th inning Canadians pitcher William Minniear gave up two solo home runs, and after the second one promptly beaned Louie Dano Dasmarinas with the next pitch. LDD charged the mound and the 6'7 giant nearly jackknife power bombed Minniear before he was tackled by the entire Toronto team. After the office of the commish reviewed the incident Minniear got six games and LDD got four.
4. Melchior Werth got paid this week, but not as much as many thought. The 25 year old two-time All-Star re-upped with New York for a team friendly $97.5m over the course of six years. He is a top three player in the game and was the sixth overall pick of the 2037 draft by the Knights out of high school. Many thought he would get in the $25m/year range so $16m is a bargain.
5. Everyone's favorite name, Skylar Buckaloo of Batavia, has started three games and pitched 21.2 innings without allowing a run. The 25 year old went 1-8 in his debut season in 2044, and 8-17 last season. With Batavia bringing up some of those high draft picks to the majors this season it looks like ol' Buckaloo finally might seeing a little more success. Right behind him is none other than Christian Vines who has gone 21.0 innings without allowing a run. He's now 2-0 with 29 K's and only four walks in three starts, and continues to make a strong case for the most dominant pitcher ever. Did we mention he's only 27 years old?
