Interleague is back and better than ever as the winners of the week were Santo Domingo, Maine, and Dallas who all dominated their cross league counterparts by winning five of six games. Batavia and Denver were on the other side of the spectrum as they went 1-5, as Batavia is now almost neck and neck with Indy for the 2045 first overall pick. Some team leaders for the week: SDR scored 37 runs, Maine hit 12 home runs, Seattle and New York swiped eight bases, Dallas allowed 10 runs, and New York and Syracuse struck out 69 batters.

Performance of the Week
P Pat Moore - The 40 year old is still slinging it as he shut down Phoenix on July 8th to the tune of a complete game one-hitter. On the night, which Dallas won 6-0, Moore struck out eight and only walked one. Drafted back in 2024 by Philadelphia he has played for eight BLB teams, won 207 career games, and been a 2x All-Star. On the season he's now 4-8 with a 3.09 ERA.
Prospect of the Week
2B Josiah Foust - The 21 year old plays for Wilmington's AAA team and looks to be ready for the show. His ability to put the ball in play and not strike out, as well as the talent to play almost any outfield or infield position, combined with top flight speed...this kid could be a star. So far this season the former second round pick from 2040 is hitting .331/.373/.413 with 20 doubles, 27 RBI's and 27 stolen bases.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Due to complications it appears the 2044 All-Star game has been cancelled. Fans around the league have questioned the decision by the commissioners office, but as of now only the Future Prospects game and Home Run Derby will take place. The office of the commissioner has assured the league that all All-Star games will be played next season.
2. Congrats to Gil Mandell who hit his 300th career home run on July 8th against Carolina. The 15th overall pick by Pittsburgh in 2030 won the New Brew in 2036, is a 5x All-Star, and appears to be slowly making his way around the Ale. After leaving the Millers he signed with Pawtucket for one season before now playing for the Whalers. Maybe next season Maine?
3. In the game of the week Los Angeles scored off of a two-out single in the bottom of the 9th by Bear Monay to tie Syracuse 3-3. There wasn't another score until a double by Julian Robinson in the top of the 21st that gave Syracuse a 5-3 lead, which mercifully was the final score. Game time...7 hours and 14 minutes. Thank goodness it was a 1:05 PM start time. The not player of the game, Dinos slugger Pat 'Melody' Nunes who went 0 for 9 and left five men on base.
4. In a close runner up Indy and New York went 18 innings the following day on July 7th. This game went 7 hours and 5 minutes, and did have a 7:05 PM start time! Finally Racers third basemen Kenyon Garcia ended it with a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 18th, his 12th home run of the year.
5. Christian Vines has now won 10 straight and once again had another 15 K performance, this time on July 8th against the Pilots. The last four times it has happened in the BLB have been by Vines, and he's now one away from the record of five set by DJ Engstrom and Jamie Herberholz. Vines is 12-1 on the year with a 1.75 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, and is still on pace to smash the 66 year old record of 319 strikeouts in a season.
