The Millers are the returning champions and there is no reason to believe they won’t be the BLB’s best team again this year. Lead by Kelani and Encinia (freshly signed to a new 5-year deal) lead Pittsburgh to 97 wins and the top of a very close Ale division. The loss of Louie Dano Dasmarinas will be shouldered be a balanced lineup that scores just enough runs for one of the league’s best pitching staffs. Perhaps the league’s best pitcher JJ Plumley turns back the clock and wins 20 games and along with the BLB’s first 40/40 Ryan Hubbard again drive the engine for the Clowns as they battle to the end with Pittsburgh and make the playoffs with 95 wins. Our third playoff team in the Ale is a rejuvenated Syracuse team. After reaching the final two years ago, the Snappers are counting on Christian Vines and Dominique Graham to continue their meteoric rise to superstardom and 94 wins. Hartford had the busiest offseason of any team in the DL and revamped their offence with Gil Mandell, Logan Wilcher, and Theo Mallen. They’ll slug their way to 84 wins, but won’t quite have enough power to outhit their still developing pitchers. Pawtucket is still trying to find their way after some minor trades and FA signings, while hoping for Rolando Prigden and Trevon Olvera to take the next step in their development. Maine, meanwhile, finishes last in the league, and is looking forward to 2046 when it’s bounty of 1sts and 2nds over the next three seasons begin to rebuild this once proud franchise.

After a surprise run to the playoffs last year, the young Drillers squad doubles down and takes the division this year. Lead by their ace, Dawson Lamb (apparently on the BLB’s watch list for cloning violations), and ageless Pat Nunes, the Drillers cruise to the division title with 92 wins. New Orleans continues the hot streak they showed last year, after trading away Elmer Caceres, and rides the left arm of Erik Foley to 90 wins. The most exciting race of the season comes down to the Lager this year. Montreal said goodbye to Chris Pineda, Logan Wilcher, and Kahron Reyes and the loss of offence drops them down to 88 wins. After losing out on the playoffs last year, the Rum Runners make a huge trade to bring back Big Game Jong and they ride his 12 wins to 88 wins as well. However, Jong starts the Lonnie Coleman game, as the Rum Runners win game 163 when Montreal’s closer blows a 3-run lead with 2 out in the bottom of the ninth on a walk off grand slam to the Santo Domingo’s Marco Taylor. Toronto continues to make minor moves, bringing in Superman, Seth Blankenship, and a host of starting pitchers as they continue to try to find the formula they’ve been searching for since last making the playoffs in 2039. Indianapolis continues to lose a lot, but not quite enough to overtake Maine and ends up with the #2 overall pick in next year’s draft.

Washington was the league’s biggest spender as they went on a shopping spree this offseason. Big money deals were shelled out to bring in Elmer Caceres and Kahron Reyes to revamp the offence and return the Bats to their rightful place on the top of the Stout standings with an incredible 106 wins! Philadelphia makes a small move in adding Ian Johnson, but get off to a slow start until their injury list clears up a month or two into the season. Once they get to full strength the Freedom find themselves at 96 wins and a trip to the Playoffs. The third Stout team in is Baltimore. Bulldogs fans breathed a big sigh of relief with hometown hero JR Rice was resigned. Rice and an emerging Shawn Allison lead the Bulldogs charge to 91 wins, but in a very difficult IL it proves to be one game short in a league that will boast six teams with 92 wins or more. Carolina added Coleman Franklin to some thump to a lineup that falls just short of missing the playoffs for the fifth consecutive season. Batavia had the most exciting offseason, as they signed 7 free agents, including starts RJ Kapper, Dusty Schmidl, and Chris Pineda. They new-look Red Jackets excite their fans all season as they finish above 0.500 with a healthy 82 wins. Finishing last is a New York team that is extremely young and continues to look a few years into the future when one of the league’s best farm systems starts to bear serious fruit.

The brutal Bock continues to be brutal. In a division with 7 of the game’s top 20 pitchers, it is the Windy City Blues that take the top spot with 97 wins. They continue to be led by 22 wins from Barton Mejia and 53 home runs by Dawson Davis as the BLB’s most balance team takes the league’s fiercest division. Seattle, fresh of signing Louie Dano Dasmarinas to anchor their lineup see continued growth in their young and very talented pitching staff. The Pilots ride the young pitching and lead off prowess of Richie van Luik to 95 wins and the #2 spot. Taking home the third spot in the Bock are Phoenix Roadrunners. Parnika and Bell each win 20 games as Phoenix pitching again leads the league in ERA and shutouts on their way to 94 wins. In an offseason that saw them lose Elmer Caceres, Alex Lezama, Sheng Jong, and approximately 20% of their fan base, they turn to a very young crop of pitchers behind Miles McIntyre to pick up the slack. A well-balanced offence that sees 8 players tally 75 RBI or more, they pick up the last playoff spot in the IL with 92 wins. Los Angeles sees a resurgence in from Jason Davidson (15 wins) and Shan Rivera (30 home runs) as they battle to 75 wins in a very tough division. Bringing up the rear in the Bock is a Denver team that is still rebuilding as it looks for Saul Wang and Mitchell Townsend to take the next step as quality BLB regulars.
