Those crazy Exports go 6-0 with sweeps of Hartford and Santo Domingo and take off like a rocket to the top spot in the Power Rankings. You know who else went 6-0...the Guides from Maine. They have now rattled off 10 straight wins and went from easily cruising into the top pick in next years draft to the 21st best record in the league. Other great weeks were Phoenix who went 6-1 and Washington who went 5-1. The Bats are holding off Philly for the Stout lead while Phoenix is now 3.5 games back from the 3-way tie in the Bock.

Performance of the Week
Pat 'Baja' Arballo - We feel like this guy has been around forever, and then we realize he broke into the BLB in 2026 and he has been. With five All-Star appearances, three Pale Ales, and a 2032 title the 37 year old just keeps chugging a long. This past week he turned in the #6 performance of the season when on June 27th he threw a complete game shutout against Windy City with 6 K's, 3 hits allowed, and no walks during a 5-0 victory. On the season he's now 7-5 with a 3.18 ERA and 0.87 WHIP.
Injury of the Week
P Israel Levy - The baseball gods giveth and taketh away. After going 6-0 for the week the Exports found out that Levy would miss over a month with chronic back soreness after having to leave the June 27th match-up against Hartford. So far in 10 starts this season the 25 year old is 4-1 with a 3.60 ERA and 1.16 WHIP.
Prospect of the Week
CF Moussa Evans - In his first season for the Beavers he hit .362/.452/.795 with 22 HR's, 63 RBI's and 8 SB's. He won the Platinum Stick in center field and was named the 2042 NCAA Outstanding Hitter. Evans can hit for power, he can run, and he can play almost any position in the field. Sounds like a potential 2043 top five pick in the making.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Since we missed last weeks edition lets give a quick recap: Norm Aouita of Seattle tossed a no-hitter, Maine's Timmy Ungureanu had his hit streak end at 32 games, Tommy Davis hit his 400th career home run, Benji Allgood and Regis Kenny got into a major brawl where Kenny got suspended eight games, and Guides outfielder Aidan Harrell hit three home runs in a game against Toronto.
2. The leash was apparently shorter on Roadrunners manager Erik Parham than anyone thought. After taking over for a team that won 53 games in 2039 he won 77 in 2040, 90 in 2041, and was 40-34 in the 'Brutal Bock' this season...and got canned. Replacing him is Pat Weiss who spent his last seven seasons as Hartford's manager before being let go this past off-season. During that time he made the playoffs three times and won the 2038 Brewmasters Cup in what many consider the most exciting series in BLB playoff history.
3. We talked about 37 year old Pat Arballo earlier, but how about 38 year old Javy 'Blur' Gudino who checks in at #6 on the OSA Top Hitters list. This season the ageless one is hitting .361/.415/.522 with 7 HR's, 23 RBI's, and 6 SB's in 45 games. He was originally the 1.1 pick of the 2024 draft by Montreal where he played for 10 seasons before leaving via a trade to Philadelphia. Let's look at his accomplishments to date: Refreshing New Brew, 11x All-Star, 10x Designated Driver, 6x playoff series MVP, 2x DWI, 2027 BLB Champion. We'd say in a few years we can add Hall of Fame member but at this rate it might be another decade before he retires.
4. If the playoff odds hold true Washington has a 94% chance of winning the Stout, Montreal a 96% chance of winning the Lager, and Pittsburgh a 100% chance of winning the Ale. The Bock meanwhile is a hodgepodge of teams with Windy City coming in at 48%, Phoenix at 24%, Seattle at 16%, and California at 12%. The good thing for them is all those teams are at 90% or higher of making the playoffs. With the Freedom sitting at 90% as well that means the IL playoff teams are already set.
5. Richie 'Powder' van Luik had a down season last year when he hit .318. He's now at .399 and has a shot to hit .400 again. It's strange to say 'again' but after hitting .402 in 2039 as a 23 year old there were more than a few that thought he could do it again. He's also swiped 31 bases this season and is already #22 on the all-time leader board for that category. He is only 289 away from the top which means at his pace the 26 year old could break the record before he turns 30. Amazing.
