  • California Scout on the Hot Seat!

News of out California is that Scouting Director Robby Moore is on the hot seat. Moore has been with the Kodiaks for less than a year, but a team that is sorely lacking in organizational hitters that appear to be difference makers, he is under intense pressure to deliver every draft. Kodiaks GM, PaulECee sat down with George Bush and mentioned, quite angrily, "As I GM I expect my scouting director to put together a board that makes sense. Not one that appears to have been put together at a moment's notice during a drunken rampage!" PaulECee went on to state, "California is an organization that is built on careful planning, not knee jerk reactions and hastily made decisions. Even though it's been only a few months, Moore might find himself running the back roads looking for talent in the Peorias of the world."

A few days later in a front office lead, it has come to our attention that Robby Moore had his on eye o HS catching prospect Andy Hugo, only to see the apparently level headed PaulECee trade the pick, out from underneath him, to, of all people Washington. "How the hell am I supposed to work under these conditions?!" Moore was apparently overheard in his office as he watched Washington grab that very player with their very pick. "$1.35M! How that hell am I supposed to scout with that budget?! This guy's a joke!"

When we reached out for comment, a clearly inebriated LiquidCrash responded, "Yeah, we like trading with that hot head. He makes a lot of rash decisions that we like to capitalize on." He went on to reminisce about his favourite theft of the erstwhile Kodiak GM. "Haha... Robby @$@*# James. That idiot game me a second and a third round pick for a utility infielder that hit 0.206 the next year. What a boob!"

The DK editors aren't sure wether the fault lies with the GM. PaulECee, or Scouting Director, Robby Moore. The DK has obtained the Top Ten names of the Kodiak draft war room from a confidential source. You can be the judge for yourself.
