Guess who's back...back again...the DK's back...tell a friend. So we took a short nap, woke up, and 11% of the season is already over. Where does the time fly? So far it looks like Montreal has become the cream of the crop as they are 15-5 and lead the PR by a slight margin over those 14-6 Pilots. This past week the Exports went 6-1 as did the Washington Bats, but they couldn't surpass the Millers who went 7-0 with sweeps of Hartford and Dallas. On the other side of life LA went 1-6 while Maine went 1-5. The Dinos are 9-11 and in the thick of things in the Bock, but Maine is 4-15 and it looks like the rebuild is in full go.

Performance of the Week
3B Taylor Harmon - The 25 year old has finally made his BLB debut and he looks like he could be a good one. After being an undrafted FA out of Rice he was signed by Seattle back in 2037 and blossomed into a top prospect. On April 22nd he let everyone know he was ready for the show when against Windy City he racked up four hits, drove in six, and scored once in a 14-6 Pilots victory. He now has 17 RBI's on the season, which puts him in a tie with JD Rice for the IL lead. Not bad company to say the least.
Injury of the Week
P Korbin Haskell - We missed this in our slumber but it looks like New York has attracted the injury bug this season. They are going to need a doctor to administer some medicine stat, and the first dose might be firing their trainer. Haskell though went down March 26th in spring training when he tore his labrum and was ruled out for the season. The former 10th overall pick of the 2035 draft has been labeled "Mr Glass" by some in the organization as he just can't stay healthy. His potential looks off the charts but unless he can stay healthy he will go in the long list of can't miss prospects who missed because they couldn't stay healthy.
Prospect of the Week
P Troy Hill - The #1 prospect in all the land was a second round pick back in 2039 who is now on the Rum Runners AAA team. The 6'2 Texan throws five pitches, can reach 97 on the gun, and has the stamina to battle all night long. So far in three AAA starts he hasn't fared well to say the least, but we're not going to doubt this kid or this organization.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Some were curious about the Racers big off-season signing of outfielder Curtis Noworyta to a five year/$67m contract but he has shut those critics down fast. The 28 year old this past week hit .333 with 6 HR's and 12 RBI's and won his first POTW award since July 2040. On the season he's hitting .271 with 11 HR's and 22 RBI's and leads the DL in the later two categories.
2. We missed it a few weeks ago but congrats to Jimmy Jeffs who launched his 300th career home run. The 35 year old signed a three year contract with Batavia this off-season and is hitting .338 with 2 HR's and 16 RBI's in 19 games this season. Originally the 7th overall pick in 2026 he's an 8x All-Star and 2x Designated Driver award winner.
3. Speaking of milestones here are some other players to keep an eye on. Ron 'Vampire' Hutchison now has 525 career HR's and is projected to reach 555 this season. Only five players in BLB history have hit that many and 'Vampire' is only 35 years old. Meanwhile JJ Plumley has racked up 2698 K's and is on pace for 2925. DJ 'Brick' Engstrom is the all-time leader with 3597. Plumley will turn 35 this season so can he hold on a few more seasons to break it? Only time will tell.
4. The top minor league system in the BLB belongs to the 6-14 Dallas Drillers as their fans have to be very excited for the future. The second place minor league system belongs to the 14-6 Pilots. I guess their fans can be excited both about the present and future.
5. We are looking forward to the match-ups this week with Washington traveling to New York, and Seattle traveling to Phoenix. The Knights have fought off injuries and are currently 12-7 on the year, trailing Washington by only half a game in the Stout. Meanwhile Phoenix has shown they are ready to once again compete for the Bock crown as they face off with division leading Seattle. These two teams don't have a lot of history together yet but we predicting it turns into a real family affair.
