[BLB News Wire]
According to sources, the Toronto Canadians' greatest ever player is not happy with the current situation. Owens could be heard shouting, "Five fucking at bats!" at team GM Spear as he left the training facilities today. "I batted 0.361 last year... 0.361!"
When reached for comment later in the day, GM Spear was short and sweet with his comment. "Dylan is a future hall of famer and a Canadians legend like no other. It is unfortunate that he has spent the last few years not working with our physical trainer and not following through on the team diet plan."
Our crack reporters tried to reach out to Dylan Owens himself, and his agent responded with harsh words himself. "Owens has been the heart and soul of the team for two decades. He has struggled with his weight off and on throughout the years, as do many athletes that are big boned. GM Spear tried to pay Owens to retire last year with his 'eight year' retirement deal. Joke's on Toronto though, Dylan has no plans to retire any time soon."
Owens last three years he's total 69 at bats (Giggity giggity), one home run, 8 RBI, and an astounding 0.319 average. It's clear to this reporter that Dylan has many good season left, and we hope to see the Toronto front office correct the error of it's ways in the treatment of one of the BLB's greatest ever players!
