(AP) Go Dinos Go! LA goes 5-2 and stays atop the power rankings after sweeping Carolina in a four game series to close out the week. Not to be outdone though the Kodiaks, Voodoo, and Sharks all went 6-1. California beat LA in two of three and at 21-13 have only the 3rd best record in the league, behind Bock mates LA and Seattle. New Orleans is now 20-12 and leads the Lager, while Miami is 19-14 and one and a half back from the aforementioned Voodoo. On the other side of the life it was a painful week for Lager friends Montreal and Indianapolis who went 0-6 and 0-7 respectively.

Performance of the Week
P Barton Mejia - This just in...Barton Mejia is still the best pitcher in baseball. The 25 year old smoked Denver on May 4th with a complete game, one run, nine K performance during the Blues 6-1 victory. He's now 4-0 on the year with a 1.02 ERA and 0.88 WHIP with 59 K's and only seven walks.
Injury of the Week
2B Joseph 'Bane' Garneau - No one is more thankful for his BLBPA insurance than Garneau, who since being drafted 7th overall in 2033 has been injured 28 times. The latest is back spasms, which happened during the May 4th game, and he will miss at least six more weeks of action. On the season the 23 year old is hitting .347/.404/.495 with 1 HR and 3 RBI's in 26 games.
Prospect of the Week
LF Samuel Becker - The 20 year old slugger for the Wareham Gatemen is a two time CCBL All-Star and this season hit .318/.415/.648 with 17 HR's and 40 RBI's in 48 games. Scouts like his work habits and believe he has the potential to be a BLB level Designated Driver award winner.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. It's safe to say that it didn't take Sidney 'Doofus' Ishibashi long to adjust to BLB pitching. This last week he hit .500/.500/1.615 with 4 HR's and 11 RBI's and won the IL Player of the Week. So far in 31 games the 26 year old is hitting .270/.338/.532 with 9 HR's and 23 RBI's. The 2nd round pick of the Blues in 2033 hit 48 HR's in AAA last season and was named the AAA BCC Outstanding Hitter.
2. The new faces in new places award goes to Chet Sancez who is hitting .402 with the Voodoo, the only player in the league still over.400. He's also on pace to break the single season hit record held by California's Joe Lopez which was set back in 1995.
3. We are back to interleague this week as DL and IL teams will square off in two three-game series. The first time the leagues played each other a few weeks ago the IL won by going 42-30 over their DL counterparts with Seattle going 6-0 and Windy City going 5-1.
4. The BLB draft will fire off this week as the feeder leagues wrap up competition. In HS ball only six teams remain in the playoffs, in the CCBL the eight team playoff just started, and in the NCAA the Sweet 16 will start tomorrow. We expect Syracuse, who holds the 1st pick, to wait until the end of the week to get that extra time for some last minute scouting.
5. The Ale has one team above .500 as the Wilmington Clowns are 17-15. The Bock has one team below .500 as the Phoenix Roadrunners are 10-23. Did we mention it's interleague time! Pittsburgh gets to play Seattle, Maine plays Seattle and California, and Syracuse plays California and LAD. Could be a long week for the Ale.
