The Tobs stay on top of the PR as they scorched their opposition to a 6-1 week. Not to be outpaced in the IL the California Kodiaks kept pace with a 6-1 week as well. Carolina and California lead the Stout and Bock respectively and could be a crash course for an ILCS showdown. Other big weeks belonged to Batavia, Toronto, Seattle and New York who all went 5-2. On the flip side Phoenix went 0-7 as they traded away some of their best talent recently and are now 1-13 in August. The rebuild is on for the Roadrunners!

Performance of the Week
LF Osgur Clark - The 4th round pick from 2030 by the Blues has turned into quite the player. On August 12th the 25 year old decimated Phoenix with four hits, one homerun, and six RBI's in a 15-8 victory. On the season he is hitting .315/.357/.478 with 13 HR's and 64 RBI's in 107 games.
Injury of the Week
P Kiyotake Inouye - In more Blues news on August 11th the 37 year old came in during the 7th, threw one pitch to Pat Welch who popped up, then had to leave the game with elbow pain. It was later reported he'll need surgery and will miss the rest of the season. Reports from his agent say he might call it a career. Picked with the 17th pick in the 3rd round of the 2020 draft by Baltimore he played for six BLB teams and won the 2031 Brewmasters Cup with the Maine Guides.
Prospect of the Week
P Nicholas 'Stinger' Hubscher - Picked 2nd overall in this seasons draft he's now 4-1 in five starts with a 3.55 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and amazing stat line of 41 K's to 2 BB's in 33 innings pitched. He's currently 76th on the top prospects list but coaches say he's quiet in the clubhouse, throws 100 MPH and has a chance to be a solid #2 pitcher down the road. The Minotaurs have won five in a row and are currently 44-22 on the year.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Congrats to Manny Quezada who hit his 300th career home run against Indy on August 16th. The 31 year old was a 5th round pick by Phoenix back in 2026 and was the 2033 Stout Slugger before declining performance led to the Roadrunners letting him walk in free agency. Signed by Wilmington he's found a second wind, was selected to his first All-Star game this year in six seasons, and currently leads the league with 42 home runs. He's 18th among active players in home runs and has become a leader in the Clowns clubhouse.
2. Batavia's Pang 'Freeze' Shuai got his first win in almost two months against Seattle on August 14th. The 34 year old missed a month with a sprained ankle but went 5.1 innings and allowed one run while striking out three in the victory. Last season he was 22-6 with a 2.76 ERA and finished 2nd in the Pale Ale voting but so far this year he's 3-7 with a 6.43 ERA. Scouts are saying his velocity has dropped and he just isn't getting the same movement on his pitches as he did last year. It looks like undefeated Father Time is catching up to this five time All-Star.
3. Former Brewmasters champion Jamie Nickerson tore it up this week...in AA. The 2032 champion with the Washington Bats is currently in California's minor league system playing for the Sacramento Amish. The 32 year old hit five home runs and drove in 14. He's now hitting .316/.376/.549 with 23 HR's and 76 RBI's in 94 games for the Amish.
4. RJ Kapper once again leads the BLB in average as he's currently hitting .361. His recent 25 game hitting streak was ended by the Rum Runners on August 14th, which was second longest this season behind Ron Hutchison. He still holds the all-time record when he hit safely in 37 straight games. Only one player since 2030 has had more hits than Kapper. Can you guess who? Can you also figure out who is 3-5?
Spoiler
5. Some match-ups to look forward to this week. California travels to Washington for three, Santo Domingo travels to Wilmington for four, Wilmington travels to Hartford for three, and Batavia travels to Carolina for three.
