Batavia dominates (again) this week as they went 6-0 with sweeps of Denver and Windy City. The Red Jackets are now Stout champs and their 102-47 record is tops in the league. Other great weeks were Washington, Miami, Indy, and LAD who all went 5-2. The Bats and Racers are playoff locks while Miami is now .500 and in the 4th DL wildcard spot and LAD is only four games out of the 4th spot in the IL. Windy City went 1-6 as their season is officially over while Pittsburgh, Hartford, and NY all went 2-5.

Performance of the Week
P Pat Moore - On September 21st against Santo Domingo he brought his best stuff and after Jimmy 'Razor' Downey popped up to end the 9th he jumped into his teammates arms to celebrate the second no hitter in the BLB this season. Nine innings, no hits, four strikeouts, and two walks as the Snappers easily won 5-0. On the season Moore is 10-12 with a 4.28 ERA and 1.39 WHIP.
Injury of the Week
P Kiyotake Inouye - On September 15th against California he came into the game during the bottom of the sixth, threw one pitch which got Josh Wright to pop out, and immediately hobbled off. He was diagnosed with a torn meniscus and will be out the rest of the year. On the year he had pitched in 31 games and racked up a 4-2 record while compiling a 3.71 ERA and 1.56 WHIP.
Prospect of the Week
RF Lucas Wilkins - The next great Red Jackets hitter was a AAA All-Star, MVP of the 1st round of the playoffs, won a title two weeks later, and came in 3rd in the AAA FF Outstanding Hitter Award voting. On the season the 23 year old hit .313/.398/.586 with 21 HR's and 54 RBI's in 79 games.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. We had a no-hitter this week as mentioned above and a cycle by Indianapolis 1B Pat Branum. On September 20th against Hartford he hit a two run single in the 3rd, tripled in the 6th, hit a grand slam in the 7th and doubled in the 9th during a 10-5 victory.
2. Hats off to Ricky 'Heartthrob' Figueroa who had his 2000th hit on September 18th and Johnny 'Big Stick' Swope who hit his 500th home run on September 16th. The 33 year old Figueroa is the BLB's All-Time leader in triples with 149 and is 6th among active players in hits. Swope is 34 and now has 502 career home runs, first among active players, and 6th all-time.
3. We get the pleasure of two huge division match-ups this week: Seattle at California and Santo Domingo at Indianapolis. The Pilots currently trail the Kodiaks by six games and a sweep of Cali could put a lot of pressure on the young team. The season series so far belongs to the Kodiaks though who lead 5-4. Meanwhile the Lager has been on absolute fire as the Rum Runners have somehow held off the Racers. Since August 1st Indy has 28 wins while SDR has 27 wins and they have the 2nd and 3rd best records in the league behind Batavia. Throw in the LAD-Phoenix series where both teams are fighting for the 4th wildcard spot in the IL and it's going to be a fun week.
4. Tom Siekmann of LAD leading the league with a .353 average is a pretty cool story. Drafted in the 1st round of the 2028 draft out of high school he played three seasons in the minors before abruptly retiring. After sitting out a year traveling the world he decided to stage a comeback in 2031. He worked hard to become a AAA All-Star in 2033 and made his BLB debut late that season. Now only 25 years old he's hitting .353/.440/.619 with 32 HR's and 88 RBI's while being named to his first BLB all-star game this season.
5. Congrats to the 2036 BLB Hall of Fame class!
