Batavia stays on top by going 4-3 as everyone had a full seven game schedule this past week. The BLB saw seven teams go 5-2 as Baltimore, NO, Wilmington, Hartford, Pittsburgh, Miami and Carolina all found themselves +3 for the week. A handful of 4-3 and 3-4 teams left Toronto and Denver holding the short end of the stick as they both went 1-6. A few team leaders: Carolina hit 16 HR's, Phoenix swiped 11 bases without getting thrown out, New Orleans scored 45 runs, Miami posted a 2.30 ERA, Carolina only allowed 18 runs and Wilmington struck out 70 opposing batters.

Performance of the Week
3B Phillip Klopf - On September 5th he turned in the 9th best performance of the season against New York when he recorded three hits, smashed two home runs, drove in four, and scored four times in a 12-2 Tobs victory. On the season the 25 year old is hitting .279/.347/.513 with 31 HR's and 94 RBI's while starting 105 games at third base.
Injury of the Week
1B Ahmed Salter - He led off the September 7th game against Miami with a triple, and immediately came up grimacing after sliding into third. He was removed from the game and diagnosed with a hip strain and will miss the rest of the season. The 24 year old was a 2nd round pick back in 2029 and was selected to his first All-Star game this season. For the year he hit .329/.409/.515 with 21 HR's and 61 RBI's.
Prospect of the Week
RF Sean Sayers - The Rookie League Pilser MVP and Platinum Stick winner at centerfield hit .366/.416/.615 with 19 HR's and 75 RBI's in 85 games this season. He was the 11th overall pick of the 2035 draft and coaches and scouts love his work ethic and hustle.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Hats off to a few recent retirees from the BLB: Jamari Bess, Gil Banda, CJ Stripling, and Tom 'Tug' Lyon. Bess was a 5x All-Star who played his entire career in Indy and hit .290/.330/.481 with 215 home runs, Banda posted a +99.5 ZR in center over 1314 games, Stripling was a 6x All-Star, won the 2025 IL Stout Slugger, and is one of three batters to ever win the Triple Crown, and Lyon hit .300/.327/.401 over 1164 games with a +60.6 ZR in center.
2. The Juarez Guerreros won the AAA Horizon Cup this season after defeating the Tuscon Toros three games to none. Second basemen JT Locke was the MVP after hitting .333/.417/1.000 with two HR's and four RBI's. In AA the Washington Oaks are up 2-1 against the Auburn Venom while in A ball the scrappy Moose Jaw Moose are up 2-1 against the Reading Railers.
3. The Denver BC have joined the Pawtucket Patriots as the second team eliminated from postseason play. In the DL wildcard race Hartford sits in the 4th spot but Miami is two games back and New Orleans is three games back. In the IL Carolina is sitting in the fourth spot while Phoenix is three back, LAD is six back, and Windy City is seven back.
4. Boy has Seth Blankenship really let down the DK's hopes of a 40/40 year as he hit 9 HR's and stole 5 bases in all of August. He now sits at 38 home runs and 32 stolen bases and is projected to finish with 45/38. Manny Quezada has almost caught up as his projections are now 44/34. There is still a chance though...Go Seth Go!
5. Rory Elia has destroyed Johnny Swope's Triple Crown dreams as Elia has exploded lately and now has 48 HR's and 125 RBI's to 'Big Stick' and his 39/109. With Elia hitting .322 to Swope's .344 it looks like Swope has destroyed Elia's dream as well. In the DL Robert Jessee is 2nd in average (.333) and tied for 1st in RBI's (100), but 12 home runs behind Turrell 'Two Ton' Morris who has 44.
