Batavia just keeps on rolling with a 3-0 All-Star week as the Red Jackets have won nine in a row and built an almost double digit lead over Baltimore in the Stout. Other undefeated short weeks were Baltimore, Hartford, Indy, and Washington. Those pesky Bats cracked nine home runs while Baltimore scored 30 runs. Meanwhile Indy didn't allow a single long ball while Hartford only allowed two total runs.

Performance of the Week
RF Sacco van Gorp - The 26 year old is having his best season to date and on July 20th recorded three hits, two home runs, and drove in six during an 11-8 victory over California. On the season he's hitting .318/.346/.543 with 20 HR's, 64 RBI's and a 2.7 WAR.
Injury of the Week
CF Jimmy Spargo - On July 19th he lasted two batters before his highlight reel diving catch of a Sacco van Gorp line drive caused him to leave the game. He was diagnosed with a sore back and is day to day for about a week. He went down for a month back in May so the Kodiaks have to be a little worried about his future health. He's hitting .294/.356/.421 but his main job is defense where he has posted a +6.0 ZR in center and is one of the few players in the entire BLB who can play almost any position at a high level.
Prospect of the Week
P King Sadiraj - King has been a workhorse this year as the 22 year old is in A ball and is 8-6 with a 2.86 ERA over 122.2 innings pitched. He signed with Windy City out of Macedonia in 2032 and tore up the Rookie League last season as he helped lead the Boise Bluegills to the 2035 Rookie Cup.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. A walk-off win for the Import League in the 2036 All-Star game thanks to Kodiaks SS Dusty Schmidl. With one out in the bottom of the ninth and runners on first and third he hit a single against Indy's Sid Ennis on a 1-2 count to bring home Denver's Ivan Castrillon and give the IL the 4-3 victory. Schmidl was awarded the MVP after getting three hits and driving in three.
2. After 5 hours and forty-six minutes Exports LF Dave Maldonado was tired and wanted to go home. So on July 18th against Toronto, with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the 17th, he cracked a Jaylen Lindsey fastball 402 feet over the left field wall to give Montreal the 4-3 victory.
3. At the break 34 year old Johnny 'Big Stick' Swope just won't slow down. He's the only player in the league listed with a chance to hit .400 (he has to to hit .442 so not likely) and is one home run and 13 RBI's off of leading all three categories for the IL Triple Crown. What's crazy is that his projected 9.6 WAR would still finish almost two points under his 2030 season where he posted an 11.3 WAR when he won the Stout Slugger, DWI and Designated Driver at third, and led Seattle to the Brewmasters Cup.
4. The DL playoff race seems to have four locks with Pittsburgh, Syracuse, SDR, and Indy all at 100% probability while Hartford is at 99.1%. That leaves New Orleans, Toronto and Wilmington battling for the sixth seed. In the IL California and Batavia are at 100% with Baltimore at 99.1%, Carolina at 89.6% and Seattle and Washington in the high 70's. That leaves LAD and Phoenix scrambling as they hope to somehow pass one of those teams to sneak in the final spot. The Roadrunners might have the best shot as their -6 PYT is last in the league.
5. The second half milestone watch: Dylan Owens needs 1 HR to reach 500, Ian James needs 3 HR's to reach 400, all-time triple record holder Ricky Figueroa needs 1 triple to reach 150, Enrique 'The Artist' Bernardi needs 8 wins to reach 200, AJ Ingle needs 1 save to reach 600, and Jacob Stokes needs 18 K's to reach 3000.
