With every team in the BLB playing a full week it was the Washington Bats who move into the top spot with a 5-2 week as they now have the most wins in the BLB. The Bats swept California over a four game series then took one of three against Batavia to get them to 89-48 on the year. The other big winners were Maine, New York, and Santo Domingo who all went 6-1. New York is now 1.5 games back from the final wildcard spot in the IL, Maine passes Pittsburgh for second in the Ale, and Santo Domingo has a 3.5 game lead over Indy in the Lager.

Performance of the Week
2B Javy 'Blur' Gudino - We missed this being gone last week but 'Blur' turned in the #1 batting performance of the season on September 2nd against Pittsburgh. In four at bats he had four hits, two home runs, five runs batted in, and scored four time himself in a 13-12 Montreal victory.
Injury of the Week
CF Zack Jackson - Some big injuries around the league but losing Jackson really hurts the Bulldogs as they battle for a Stout title. On September 9th against Philly he went down running the bases and will be out for over a month with a back strain. On the year he's hitting .286/.380/.340 with 36 stolen bases and 34 RBI's. His biggest contribution though is his glove where he's played 103 games in center this year and has posted a +13.9 zone rating.
Prospect of the Week
SS J.R. 'Mugsy' Djojohadiksumo - Hailing from Papua New Guinea he was signed in 2032 by Seattle's international scout and this year played his first season in the Rookie League. In 60 games he hit .309/.351/.521 with 4 HR's and 38 RBI's. He also posted a +5.7 ZR in 49 games at short stop.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. We missed celebrating Johnny ' Big Stick' Swope's 400th career home run last week when he hit one against Washington on September 1st. The 1.1 pick of the 2022 draft is in his 11th season, is a nine time All-Star and won the Stout Slugger in 2030, 2031, and 2032. His career line now sits at .307/.377/.592 with 401 HR's, 1079 RBI's, and a 72.0 WAR.
2. The DK's seemingly favorite player Seth Blankenship came alive this week with five home runs, eight runs batted in, and three stolen bases. He now sits at 41 HR's and 30 SB's and has joined the exclusive 30/30 club for the second straight year, a club which only features 20 total players in the history of the BLB. His quest to become the only 40/40 player in BLB history looks like it will fall just short again though.
3. Eight teams for six spots sums up both the DL and IL playoff races. In the DL both Hartford and Santo Domingo are projected to win their divisions while Indy, Miami, Maine, and Pittsburgh fight for wildcard position. On the outside looking in are Wilmington and Syracuse who both have winning records and barely trail Pittsburgh by two and four games respectively. In the IL Seattle is a lock for the Bock while Washington is favored to win the Stout. Batavia, Baltimore, and Philly are near locks for wildcards while Windy City and New York battle for the last spot with Carolina.
4. On the other side of life Denver went 1-6 this week and more than likely locked up the top pick in the 2035 BLB draft.
5. Two pitchers continue to battle for the Triple Crown. In the DL Sheng Jong of SDR is 1st in ERA (1.96), 1st in wins (17) and 2nd in K's (184). He's behind JJ Plumley though in that last category who has 205. In the IL it's Seattle's Jacob Stokes who is 1st in ERA (2.26), 2nd in wins (15) and 1st in K's (166). Two Bats currently have 16 wins though in Pat Arballo and Sandy Perez and both teams are now on six man rotations.
