    Performance of the Week

P Pat 'Baja' Arballo - He turned in the #1 pitching performance of the season on August 17th when he threw a complete game two hitter with 12 strike outs and two walks in a 2-0 victory over Miami. The 29 year old and former 1.3 of the 2022 draft is 13-8 with a 2.60 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in 24 starts this season.

    Injury of the Week

P Farid Fabre - The 25 year old from Monaco signed a $5m contract with Maine back in 2026 and quietly worked his way into being in the BLB full time this year. In 17 starts he's 11-3 with a 4.14 ERA and had won eight in a row before going down with bone chips in his elbow on August 15th. He'll be out for over a month after undergoing surgery a few days ago.

    Prospect of the Week

LF Albert Minks - The 2nd overall pick of the 2029 draft is currently in AA for Phoenix and is the #27 overall prospect in the league. In 116 games he's hitting .321/.393/.531 with 16 HR's and 94 RBI's. He's listed as a left fielder but has started 112 games at third base where in 264 chances he has 12 errors and a -2.0 ZR.

Five Things We Think We Think

    1. Rory Elia may be on the greatest young players the BLB has ever seen. At only 20 years old he was the 8th overall pick in the 2031 draft and was playing A ball early last season. Now in his first season in the BLB he's hitting .282/.347/.655 with 40 HR's and 95 RBI's and he leads the IL in the later two categories. His 6.4 WAR is also tops in the entire league. The scouts have him as the #2 overall hitter in the BLB and he's just one of several top flight young prospects the Tobs have either playing or about to be playing in the BLB.

    2. Interleague week is over and it was a good one...for some teams. Pittsburgh got swept by Batavia, Seattle swept Hartford, Denver swept New Orleans, California swept Montreal, Phoenix swept Toronto, and Syracuse swept Carolina.

    3. The minor league playoffs start this week. The Richmond Rams won 85 games in AAA, the Washington Oaks won 81 games in AA (and have to play 80 game winner Eagle River), and Little Rock won 80 games in A. The Rookie League playoffs begin next week where the Raleigh Oaks currently have the best record in the league at 54-28.

    4. Voting is up for some big measures as the BLB is currently in discussions to raise the active roster limit to 26 (and expanded roster to only 28), and also to distribute media income evenly to all teams. Also remember HoF voting is currently still ongoing if you haven't got your ballot in.

    5. California had a big week by going 5-1 and now sits at 52-66. The mathematicians have been working overtime since then and new calculations show the Kodaiks playoff odds are now at 0.1 percent!
