California leads the pack with the best record of the week by going 5-1. They swept the BC of Denver and took two of three against Carolina. Even after that though the Baltimore Bulldogs claimed the top spot in the power rankings by going 4-2. They were one of nine teams to go 4-2 on the week as the space between top and bottom is starting to grow.

Performance of the Week
3B Chris Pineda - The former Knight that came over via trade this off-season lit up Los Angeles on April 23rd to tune of three hits, two home runs and three runs batted in while scoring four times himself. Philly easily won 11-3 and Pineda is now hitting .290 on the year with 4 HR's and 13 RBI's.
Injury of the Week
P A.J. Ingle - After signing a big contract this off-season with the Red Jackets big things were projected for the 37 year old. On April 21st though against Washington he finished off the 8th but when he came back out in the 9th something was wrong and he left the game. He was later diagnosed with bone chips in his elbow and will be out for at least six weeks. On the season he was 2-1 with 3 saves and a 2.57 ERA.
Prospect of the Week
RF Curtis Noworyta - The 19 year old right fielder for Wareham won the Outstanding Hitter award last season and this year in 28 games is hitting .396 with 12 HR's and 38 RBI's with a 1.416 OPS. He's a two time All-Star and will probably be a top three pick in the upcoming draft.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. A lot of parity so far in the season. In the DL only 4 and 4.5 games separate the top from the bottom while in the IL if we take out rebuilding Carolina and Denver it's 3 games for each division. Even Denver who is 4-15 is only 6 games out of the final IL wildcard spot.
2. Jon Santiago from the Tobs recently had his 21 game hit streak ended against California. The longest hit streak in the BLB is 35 games held by four different players. Without looking can you guess who? Answer below the SOTW.
3. Tom Martin for New York is the only player on pace for the BLB's first 40/40 season. He has 5 HR's and 10 SB's which would put him on pace for a 43/85 season. We aren't exactly holding our breath on this one.
4. When no one else seemed to want Hidekazu Mizoguchi he was welcomed back to Seattle with open arms on a one year deal worth $2,818,908. Originally drafted by the Pilots in the 2nd round of the 2024 draft this will be his 7th season there. He's a career .276 hitter who was on the '26 championship team and was named an All-Star in 2029.
5. J.J. Plumley is listed as the top pitcher in the league. He's a captain, throws up to 101 MPH, and can throw his fastball, curve ball, and change-up as good as if not better than anyone in the league. He's also had four starts and is 0-3 with a 3.55 ERA and 0.99 WHIP while notching 33 K's and 7 BB's. I guess his 1.3 run support a game isn't helping much. Come on Clowns!
