The 2030 regular season is over and Seattle ends in the top spot. The Pilots finished the year off right by going 6-1 and ending up with 112 wins, the most in the league. They will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. On the other end of the spectrum Carolina secured the top pick in next years draft by going 2-4 and finishing with 52 total wins. They have a great GM though and we're sure sunnier days are ahead for the Tobs.

Performance of the Week
1B Pat Walton - On October 5th against the Guides the 24 year old slugger had the 5th best hitting performance of the season. In a 12-0 victory Walton had two home runs, five runs batted in and scored five times himself. Walton finished the year hitting .290 with 50 HR's and 112 RBI's. Can someone say Refreshing New Brew winner?
Injury of the Week
1B Robby Caddell - The 26 year old got a little banged up on October 2nd against Windy City. In the 5th inning on a fielder's choice at 2nd Caddell collided with Blues shortstop Sonny Williamson. He left the game and was diagnosed with a sore elbow after x-rays were negative. It's only being classified as a day to day injury and the Pilots are hoping a week of rest helps.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. The Turell 'Two Ton' Morris is officially over for 2030. As one manager told one of our beat reporters last week, "I don't know if I'm more excited for the playoffs or more excited to quit hearing about Morris." The final tally for his 2030 campaign showed a .323 average, 69 HR's, 168 RBI's, and 146 runs scored. He shattered the home run and runs batted in records and almost broke the runs record. Just give him the Stout Slugger now.
2. Congrats to Johnny 'Big Stick' Swope on the 3rd batting Triple Crown in BLB history. He now joins Ricky Murillo and CJ Stripling as he finished the year with a .339 average, 51 home runs, and 143 RBI's...far ahead of the second place finishers in each category. Just give him the Stout Slugger now as well.
3. The wildcard round kicks off today featuring Pittsburgh v Hartford, New Orleans v Wilmington, Denver v New York, and Baltimore v Philly. In three of the four match-ups the season season is dead even, with only New Orleans having a 8-4 lead over Wilmington. When they say the best of three can go either way it's truly meant this time.
4. Jamie O'Hearn finishes the season 14 home runs behind Dani Alvarez and his 572 all-time record. He hit 22 this season, his lowest since 2015, mostly due to being out six weeks during the middle of the year with an ankle injury. His move to DH might extend his career and we think he just might squeak past the mark next season.
5. The last four Brewmasters have featured either Maine, Seattle, or both. From the looks of it we should make it five in a row since they are the two best teams in the league. Last season though the 83 win New York Knights shocked the BLB universe by beating both powerhouses and winning the title. This preseason the DK predicted it was Denver's year to make that run. Only the baseball gods know what is in store but we know there are some really good teams and elite players in this years playoffs and we couldn't be more excited.
