Seattle takes off like a rocket this week in the PR as they score 67 runs, and go 7-0 with sweeps over Cali and Batavia. The Pilots have now won 10 in a row and have secured home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Meanwhile the poor Kodiaks went 0-7 as their playoff dreams evaporated before their very eyes thanks to their pitching. Their team ERA of 8.04 was actually only 2nd worst though, as Batavia had a 8.90 ERA and also went 0-7.

Performance of the Week
1B Colin Bailey - The Freedom first basemen lit up Baltimore on September 17th to the tune of thee hits, two home runs, and six runs batted in as Philly won 12-5. The 23 year old rookie is hitting .331 with 22 HR's and 82 RBI's and is one of the bright young stars in the league.
Injury of the Week
RF R.J. Kapper - The 23 year old went down hard in the 8th against Indy and was diagnosed with a herniated disk in his neck and will be out for three weeks. The leadoff hitter for the Millers is hitting .337 with 13 HR's, 59 RBI's and 15 stolen bases. After playing centerfield most of the season and having a -12.2 ZR he was moved to right where in 24 games he has a +3.5 ZR.
Prospect of the Week
2B Roberto Lopez - In his 3rd season with Texas, Lopez finally broke out by hitting .324 with 8 HR's and 38 RBI's in 49 games. In 2027 he was selected to the HS All-Star game but went undrafted and enrolled at Texas. He didn't play much his freshman and sophomore year but finally got his chance and showed his worth. Scouts say he is very intelligent but lacks on leadership, something his coaches will be looking to improve on for his senior campaign.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. Most of the Bulldogs roster seem to be cold, except for Tom Clark. The DH for Baltimore hit .550 this week and is hitting .379 for the month. Usually not a big story for one of the best hitters in the BLB but if he keeps it up it might derail the Johnny Swope Triple Crown train. Currently Swope has won the HR and RBI race but is hitting .353 to Clark's .350.
2. The wildcard race has come down to the DL as the IL race is all but over. With California and their terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week the IL teams appear to be set. The only undecided is the order. New York has a big chance this week to close on Philly for the #1 spot as they play Phoenix and Carolina while the Freedom get Seattle and Batavia. Meanwhile Denver and Baltimore should battle it out for 3rd/4th as they are only separated by 2.5 games. In the DL it is between Pittsburgh, Santo Domingo, and Montreal for the 4th and final spot. In the final 13 games Pittsburgh only plays three at home and has the hardest opponent schedule, so we think the Rum Runners are going to sneak in. Maybe a Lonnie Coleman game or two?
3. Seattle went 15-3 this season against California. No other team has more wins over another team. Maine also spanked a few teams as they went 11-1 against Montreal and Toronto.
4. Maine won the attendance battles this year. So far over 3.2 million fans have come through the gates to see the Guides play. Meanwhile Syracuse is at 825,519. Washington though won the gate revenue though as they barely topped Maine by pulling in almost $30m in sales.
5. Of all the playoff teams this will be Baltimore's 11th straight year in the playoffs, only eclipsed league wide by Washington's 14th. This will be Denver's first time since 2026 and Hartford's first trip since 2023. Can either of them be the New York Knights of 2030?
