Maine goes 4-2 this past week but takes back over the top spot as them and Seattle continue to battle it out for possible home field advantage come the Brewmasters Cup. Hot teams this week were Miami and Pittsburgh who both went 6-1 and the Freedom who went 5-2 and are now 16-4 in July. They have passed up Baltimore in the Stout who went 2-5 this week and a paltry 5-14 overall this month. The have-nots this week were Montreal, Hartford, Syracuse and Toronto who all only manged one win. going into the ASG break.

Performance of the Week
2B Mike Morla, CAL - On 7/21 against Windy City Morla had three hits, two home runs, scored four time, and drove in six. The Kodiaks were up 6-5 in the 7th before Morla's three run blast gave them some much needed breathing room. On the season 'Yoyo' is hitting .353 with 20 HR's and 60 RBI's.
Injury of the Week
P Pat Ashcroft, BAT - Reports started trickling in on July 21st that Ashcroft was out for his next start and would be out of action for a significant period of time due to an unknown injury. The official word by the organization later that day was that Ashcroft severely cut his pitching arm hand making dinner on the 20th but unofficially we're told Batavia is still looking into the matter. On the season he was 6-8 with a 5.13 ERA. Ashcroft was picked by Batavia in the 1st round of the 2026 draft and the Red Jackets have high hopes he can get back to form next season.
Prospect of the Week
CF Seth Blankenship, CCBL - The 19 year old from Rhode Island just finished his 1st season for the Wareham Gatemen and had a great year. He hit .364 with 22 HR's and 61 RBI's in 48 games and finished 2nd in the CCBL Outstanding Hitter Award. He is unbelievably fast on the bases and could be a star center fielder down the road. Scouts say he "never hangs his head during slumps or losses."

3. The pitching match-up to start the game will be Dave Teel (SEA) against Dave Koehler (NO). We were hoping to see Seattle's Eliott Paul (13-1, 2.75 ERA) against Maine's Kevin Alston (13-3, 2.58 ERA) but they both just pitched recently and aren't fully rested yet.
4. We're going to have to hand out name tags at the game. These first time All-Stars are making their debut this year:

5. We're looking for the DL to win this one. All though the IL has the better starters the DL is loaded with relievers and has the main attraction this week on offense with Maine's Turell Morris. All though he's slowed down in July by hitting .280 with 3 home runs he still leads the league by a wide margin with 40 HR's and 110 RBI's on the year. He's the favorite to win the home run derby and we're excited to see how he does against IL pitching.
