  • This Week in California

This has been a trying week for fans of the California Kodiaks. Just under two years removed from an incredible post season run that saw them wipe out Toronto and sweep aside BrewMaster favourite Kansas City, the organization is in shambles. When reached for comment, manager Jermaine Ednams replied, "We had a good run, but It's time to break up the band!" It must also be noted here the Ednams looks heavily sedated and was watching reruns of Puff the Magic Dragon in his office during the interview.

Trades that have gutted the organization of all of it's pitching talent and perennial gold glove winner and career 0.300 hitter Dave Rizer have also left a clubhouse in disarray. Reports of fights in the dressing room and on their private Kodiak jet have made there way onto social media. Reliever, Alec Shaffer tweeted out, "Nobody is getting along with each other, and I'm worried that the problems are following us out to the field for our games."

The final straw came this week in a media scrum around Mike Morla's locker when he was asked for his take on the apparent Kodiak rebuild. "Yeah, I hit 3 bombs this week and took home the Player of the Week!" Upon further questioning from the media to reported clubhouse problems, he reported, "The guys that left were assholes, let's be honest... I raked an incredible 0.464 for the week... All of the talent that matters is still in Kodiak land."

I guess we'll see how the rest of the season plays out, as they apparently are all set for a playoff run according to Yoyo!
