      That's funny.

When you were running Pittsburgh, you said you learned everything you know from Jack Daniel.

And an awful pitching and defense by the looks of it :)

Wow.....sorry my friend Pat before you was doing it for years. Might want to look at Z's teams also. lol, unreal.

And what the heck..might want to check the team a year before your Brew Cup. Pretty sure pitching and defense played a major role.

Well I remember when I started in this league almost everyone was talking about bats and power and balls over the fence... Didn't notice that it was a history of champions with pitching and defense before. Obviously I only started here few seasons ago, so I didn't want to dosrespect anyone. Apologies if it was the case :)

I guess common thinking is a cycle like in real life?

Ironically, you didn't win a title until you payed $75M for a 1B who once hit 43 HR in a single season. Gomez hit 11 more homeruns than any other Shark, 32 total that year. He also went on to hit 5 more in the playoffs winning DLCS MVP and Brewmaster's MVP.

And he flew under the radar during the FA... I think I signed him when I missed in all the other big bats whom went spmewhere else that year...

I don't know who will replace his 30+ HRs after this season...

None taking my friend. General rule of thumb its GREAT to have both, but usually WORST case pitching/ defense means "hat in the ring".

Your approach though we very impressive though. Make no mistake, your a very respected GM.

lol, i do remember that team. i was so rooting for you (only to piss on Jistics super team that decade)

but in all fairness, its nice to know there are other ways to win the cup. would suck if everyone did the same thing.

I promise you that a lot of guys noticed that OOTP 15 started favoring defense more so than other versions.

It wasn't always the case. I know guys in other leagues that won in pre15 while completely ignoring defense in the game. I'm talking catchers playing all over the diamond because they happened to be in abundance and their defense meant little.

Markus made changes for good reason and guys noticed before anyone won with the formula.

A lot of successful guys here always cared about pitching and defense. In fact I will argue that you almost can't win a championship without 2-3 true aces.

BLB to pitchers is like the NBA with stars.
